Hey guys I’m new to turkey hunting and not sure what ammo to use...and I’m also confused on he NYS law about how it’s supposed to be no larger than #2 and no smaller than #8 if someone can let me know id appreciate it

That's your first post but I'll bite. Shot size no larger than 2's and no smaller than 8's. Which means you can use 4s/5s/6s. Buy a box or two and pattern them in your gun to see what patterns the best. Keep your shots inside 35 yards Winchester xrs are pretty tight and cheap. Good luck

4,5,6 for turkey.  But I use the 5's - middle of the road.  I like federal turkey loads- 5's.  Not too expensive but work well in my mossberg. Def try to shoot and see how the pattern is for your gun.
