The_Field_Ager
Just dug up my 2017 harvest head. Bugs did a nice job cleaning up the flesh. It just needs a warm water scrub and clean. I do not boil or bleach. I like a natural look myself. Not sure of dimensions. I generally don't care about scoring deer. I will do a rough calculation for those interested. Not my biggest deer however. Teeth wear indicates a 3 year old.
The_Field_Ager
So this guy scores at 122 4/8 B+C
The_Field_Ager
It scrubbed up nicely. I will sun dry for a couple of days and then see if it works with some left over drift wood I have.

farmhunter
Yep burying - I've got some nice naturals I've found in decent shape. for me I simmer - change the water out a few times and use dawn dish soap. One has to really get the nasal cavity clean - its the biggest issue when cleaning a skull - I don't see how a pressure washer can clean it out without blowing out the fragile bones - here's a couple I did last year - Edited October 5, 2018 by farmhunter

I will say that the odor from the two old chest freezers he keeps the beetles in isn't very pleasant.

He has tons of different patterns. I have a couple to do in snow camo, which I think really looks good.
