I use my dewalt drill, impact, drywall gun, skill saw, sawzall , etc..everyday at work ..  the only time i have burned up a drill was drilling large holes with a hole saw . They just are not designed to drill 4" holes I guess ..lol..

I have used and wore out drill and impacts from every major manufacturer excerpt milwauki. They are the next ones on my hit list.. 

For a home owner, It is hard to beat a rigid and its warrantee.

No worries on derailing.  I enjoy it.  I did own a dodge once and sold it after 35k miles.  But the first few weeks were trouble free.  lol
