I'll give the ball trick a whirl and some stretching.  Thanks! :good:

Well one could actually feel a “ knot “ in my back which was the muscle that was hung up out of place , which is why in that situation rolling on that spot worked I guess .

Good luck

Take care of your back!  I had a herniated disc back in 2013-2014.  Worst year of my life.  Dont wait around, if you even suspect anything, go to the doctors office.  Stretching and yoga got my mobility back, I graduated into weights and am 95% better today with no surgery.  Back injuries are no joke and should not be taken lightly by anyone.  Good luck and get better.

Several days ago I jacked up my lower back and haven't the foggiest idea how.  Basically woke up one morning to a sore back and unable to stand up straight.  Fantastic.  Other than resting on a heating pad all weekend bored out of my skull, what else is there to do, medically speaking?

My original plans called for scouting and shed hunting.  Forget that.  Instead, I'm binging on movies: Star Wars Force Awakens, Lone Survivor, 13 Hours and Gladiator.  Will get in a couple more flicks before Wicked Tuna tonight too.  Oh well, it could be worse.  At least I have good company.

Several days seems like a while to not see improvement. If no improvement and if possible, appointment to your primary care and maybe after that an MRI to check Lumbar area. I had 2 ruptured discs that sorta just happened without doing anything extraordinary, but it happened...14 years apart. MRI confirmed both episodes. Had a good neurosurgeon, and took care of the problem. I also had shooting pain down one leg due to the ruptured discs. No fun. Wonder if you have issues with pain down a leg. Good luck.

No shooting pain down a leg or anything acute like that.  Just a general soreness and discomfort.  I do have greater mobility today after resting all weekend, but still a ways from "normal".  I'll give ice and stretching a little more time before booking a doctor appt.
