Took the muzzle loder to the range

My son in law and me went to our clubs shoot today I let him use my 35 marlin he fell in love with it told him to get his own my on the other hand I was shooting my 50 cal. Hawkins got to admit I did pretty good with it

what load do you use?

I shoot FFFg 90 grains of powder with a round ball at 50 yards

Its not as bad as most think. I usly shoot 20 to 25 rounds at the range. I like shooting it better them my 35. Can't wate to take it for a deer hunt.

WOW, I never would have expected that they do not kick like a mule. I'd like to know how it goes for deer!

Nice!! love the old side hammers!!!  Hardest kicking gun(ft lbs of engery to the shoulder) 12ga. shooting a 3 1/2 turkey load... Could never figure out why people are afraid of big bore rifles....
