Peach tree help

Cut it off just below where it broke, hopefully it will shoot out a new branch there next spring. Also thin a whole bunch of peaches off the tree so it's not so overloaded. Next year thin it hard early.

Thanks EJ. It’s a relatively new tree obviously (only the first or second year on his property) with a new fruit tree owner who knows nothing about fruit trees. Is the fact that there are too many peaches the reason why none grew larger?

My Dad uses a variety of lumber and twine to keep the small trees propped upright. That and judicious thinning of the excess fruit has kept the trees from breaking. Double and triple clusters of fruit won't ripen the way a single fruit will, so it's best to thin them out early. Good luck to you.
