MPHunter
Any of you guys go? Is it worth it? Any tips? Out in Buffalo with wife and daughter to do Niagara Falls and find out Wing Fest is this weekend. Gonna hit Sophia's for breakfast and then Buffalo zoo tomorrow. Its either wings or museums after that.... Staying downtown on Main Street so easy train ride from our hotel. philoshop
I lived in Buffalo for twenty years but I left fifteen years ago. Don't remember "Wing Fest". My advice is to check it out and report back. ;-) What's the downside? Heartburn? :-) P.S. I think my brother and his wife are there this weekend, so I'm expecting a full debrief upon their return. ETA: Enjoy your trip. Buffalo is a lot more fun than people give it credit for. Edited August 31, 2018 by philoshop
Jeremy K
The zoo is not a place i would visit , the wife and i bought a season pass this year and she used it a couple times with our son. My wifes uncle loves sophias ,he probably goes there a few times a week .
turkeyfeathers
We go every year. Pay to park , pay to get in , buy overpriced wings after waiting in long lines. Last year I bought a beer , sat in bleachers while girls waited in long lines in 90 degrees. I went to Sals near our house for wings and a couple beers when we got home Were passing this year. Check out Liberty Hound and battleships at canalside , riversorks too. Have fun

Definitely going to hit canalside, Liberty Hound and battleship.Been there before without the girls and they will dig it. I've been to Riverworks in the evening. Is the walk over worth it during the day? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I come out to Buffalo at least once a month for work and am slowly finding my way around. The area definitely has a lot to offer!Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
MPHunter
Never made it to wing fest. After stuffing ourselves late morning at Sophia's and spending a few hours at the zoo in the sun, were not up for more sun and crowds. Chilled at hotel for a bit and walked down to Big Ditch Brewing for dinner. Not bad. Day before we went to Niagara Falls. First time there and Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds were awesome.
