seven7
For the past 2 years...i have been wearing my cold weather/waterproof/heavy/hooded jacket when I bow hunt. I know that scent and maneuverability and 2 keys factors in success so im thinking a light weight outer jacket would be a better option. im thinking a lightweight, non-hooded, shell would be a better option. what do you guys wear as an outer layer? erussell
Predator bow hunting jacket. Gets a little nipply in the late season, but I got a size larger so I can put on extra sweaters.
5.9cummins
Check out some of the windproof fleece stuff. Predator and Nat Gear make what looks to be quality stuff. I am going to pick up a set this year. I have always worn a shell outer layer (usually just rain gear) and layered accordingly underneath - heavy bulky does'nt work - at least not for me. Windproof is a must for me but the rain gear can get a little sticky if its warm and does'nt really breath.

RangerClay
I go with a light coat but I have several layers underneath starting with UA Cold Gear. Take a look at Dick's they have some affordable light weight coats (Usually Field & Stream brand) usually on the last week in August for bow season. G-Man
i prefer a light coat oversized so that i can layer under it as the seasn gets colder. I'm a big fan of skyline, but natgear or predator or even mathews lost camo are great treestand patterns. very open, not dark like a lot of national brands. it matters how it looks to a deer not how good it looks to you!
