Sad state of affairs.  I visited there on a missionary trip around 2013 I think.  Its a beautiful country with some very nice people but man was it corrupt.  The first thing I recall after getting off the plane was stopping at a restaurant and there was Chavez on TV talking about the American pigs.  Makes one feel real comfortable. 

Most of those that I met and stayed with have moved to Spain.  They were the fortunate ones.
