Forest Hunter
I have not shot a turkey before and I'm planning to hunt one and I am an A LOT better shot with my bow. I mean you can not shoot them with a rifle. So if you have shot a turkey it was relatively close. A shotguns range and a bows range are somewhat similar. So I was wondering has anyone else shot a turkey with their bow and how did it go?
Shadd Rapp
I have never tried to hunt turkeys in the fall, but I did get this one with my bow in the spring. I was hunting out of a blind with my decoys set up about 6 yrds. He came strutting in and jumped on top of my decoy bending the metal rod. I shot him at about 10 yrds. DRT. Forest Hunter
Wow I don't have a blind but I have made a few with some sticks and pines. I have had them walk by with me in a treestand and I am gonna try and get some turkey hunting in before bow season starts to get into my hunting phase. I will set up a decoy, start calling and hopefully hit a big tom. Maybe even two at once ha ha Thanks a bunch guys
biggamefish
Here is the turkey I got last year. It is way harder with a bow than with a gun but that is why it is so much fun.
