NYBowhunter Posted August 31, 2011 Share Posted August 31, 2011 Attched are pictures I pulled recently, the Broccolli Rabe is knee high, sugar beets and turnips are smaller. All looking good so far and are getting hit already. Who says deer wait for first frost before Brassicas are hit, not the case by me. With all the clover and apples around they still make a point to hit the brassicas.Even got a picture of a yote standing in the Broccolli Rabe. Enjoy the pictures. Thanks John.Let me tell you that Broccolli Rabe was like butter, so tender and not bitter at all. You didnt think I grew them just for the deer...lol . Enjoy the pictures. next year put a fence around a 3-4' circle to keep the deer out. You will be amazed at how much they are chowing down.
