That would be much appreciated. I didn't make it out due to family and other issues. Was hoping to do it before gun season but am hitting my friend's land a little farther northwest this weekend.

Generally, how does it all go for bears as the cold comes?

For example, the deer rut is fading/over and food again resumes its primary importance.

But with bear, it's simply food all fall, right? Find the food, find the bears....

Bears breed in the Early to mid summer. So generally as a non-issue here in New York they’re pretty much only concern is food and even a fairly concentrated natural food sauce source is is not enough to keep a bear from moving. That’s why baiting it’s so effective in keeping bears in the vicinity
