How we looking guys? I have at least 2 big boys on the trail camera's and we all know that doesnt show the true story, the action is just picking up.

I saw a nice buck yesterday,and a few doe they are moving around now.Also saw a bobcat,I have seen him a bunch of times in the past.Lets see looking good for now.

My Brother in law was up on sunday and said we have a lot of trees down from Irene.I'll be going up next weekend to do my yearly check on posted signs and clearing out the road that leads in to the property.

My dad just called me, he was sitting out on the porch before sunset and had the binocs looking into the woods... When he was scanning, all of a sudden he saw a big old bear staring right back. He went to grab a camera but the bear ran off when he moved.

Would love to take a bear!We saw one going down the mountain but never in the woods yet.I did find tracks but no bear.

They are all over my trail camera's, even had one smelling / licking it.

Sad part is I have 2 bear rugs on the wall all ready from 3H another that I arrowed and could not recover several years ago,Tracked for hours.That one still haunts me.I know it was a fatal shot and I hate to waste an animal.My wife will kill me if I take another.

My wife already told no!If I bring home a bear I well be in big trouble,so far I have been safe LOL.

Antlers how big were the bear you already have? My old man said this thing was BIG, might be the one I had on the trail camera.

My first one was archery 2002 field dressed at 180.2009 (sow) dressed at 160.Not huge.The one in your picture John ,looks like a bruiser,Big ass and the belly hangs down.It would be hard to pass on a bear thats 300+ lbs.

Got my last stand up today,saw lots of doe in the rain,,,,got the itch can't wait.

Me too, my brother and I were out there today, jumped more doe then ever before. Also went for a walk with the wife and baby on the road and more doe. Doe everywhere!

Thats a big bear. Mine was from 3k. According to the DEC website 3k has the most bear harvests per 100 sq miles in the whole state. I beleive followed by 3c. I know bear action is on the rise everywhere.

A bear with the bow would be nice,but I would rather use my rifle..LOL

NY Hunter,My first bear was with a bow,Searched for him for 2 hours.Finally found him less than 200 yards from my stand,buried in thick mountain laurel.Must have walked past him 3 times in my search.Arrowed another one 5 years later,because of the thick fur,There was little to no blood trail.Again,searched for 2-3 hours before giving up.Great satisfaction in taking any game with a bow,But with a bear,the thick fur is a draw back.

Mine was with a bow dropped within 40 yards did the death roar and that was it.

Thats awesome,I just got back into bow hunting last year,Hoping this is my year.

Can't wait! Have another 8 pointer on the cam, this one is not as wide, younger, but looks thick. Will post a pic tonight when I get home.
