Emailed a jewish friend of mine on the clarifications of their views of hunting and this is what he wrote back:

"it really depends on the jew... is he a religious jew or a jew in name only? (i.e. birth right.)

judaism forbids hunting because an animal needs to be slaughtered in a certain manner to be kosher.

the animal needs to have its throat slip in one slice with a blade that is free of nicks.

hunting is seen as inhumane because it usually doesnt kill the animal right away...

but alot of jews eat ham... so its really not so much that he happens to be jewish... he may just be a jew who does his own thing..."

I repeat, I know tons of jewish people who hunt and have hunted for generations. However, I dont know any jewish people who are hardcore to the point of only eating "kosher" food, etc........maybe thats the difference?

Biz-R-O, you're killin me, man! Tons?? Now if you were to tell me that there are TONS of Italians or Greeks who enjoy hunting, I wouldn't argue with you, but NO way that there are Jews hunting in the numbers you are claiming. Maybe you're mistaking some Italians for Jews? LOL I don't care if they are orthodox jews, liberal jews, or Jews for Jesus, hunting is not something they as a group give a crap about. Not to say that there couldn't possibly be a jew out there somewhere who hunts, but I will guarantee you that there aren't TONS of them out there like you are claiming.
