Is the sound of a drumming turkey the same as a grouse ?

Go to about the 2 minute mark.  Kind of hard to hear, but it is a deep, low pitched sound.

My hearing is very poor....I could never hear a bird drum unless he was very close and I was looking right at him..

I have however,  hunted with guys who could hear them drumming at 75-100yards...

A grouse drums by flapping it's wings, a tom does it by producing a gutteral sound. Most of the time they make a "spit" sound before drumming.
