Genetics Question?

So a few years ago i got a 5 1/2 yr old 6pt with a 22 1/4 tip to tip and 9 inch tines, well im hot on the trail of another huge six with at least 12in tines and super wide. Could these bucks be related?

They very will could be. It might be his son. I had an 8 that I took in 2007 then took another 8 in 2009 that looked VERY simllar.

Usually a 2 year turn around and especially if it's on or near the original property.

Yeah i spotted him maybe a quarter mile down the road and i think i jumped him this summer 10 ft where i got daddy.

your area must have the same problem as mine the deer have no brow tines. But what a nice buck.

Probably of the same bloodline... antler configuration is genetic...

They possibly are I shot a 7 pt 3.5 yr old buck openning

day then my friend shot a yearling 6 pt on that tuesday.

When I put the pictures side by side and the comparisons

from the features on the deer and thier racks I am sure they

are related father and son.

Very hard to say but if this one you are after is also wide with no brow tines..... They most likely are the same blood!!!
