Interesting day

Recommended Posts

Friday , I was driving down the rd and get a call. I pull over and am talking on the phone through the trucks bluetooth. A car pulls up in front of me , and out gets a young black man(or whatever the politically correct term is). He walks up to my window.( note: I'm kind of a rough looking bearded character ;) ..). A little timidly(pretty sure he was a college kid ), but very friendly and asks if I was ok or needed help..

This is getting pretty uncommon today, no matter what color you are.Nobody cares about or takes care of their neighbors anymore..I wish it wasn't an important call, so I could have talked longer to this once guy..

A couple hrs later I'm working in this "French guys bathroom" .I cant hardley understand him as he is chatting right away ,looking  over my shoulder.

I ask him how long he's been in the US and he says most of  45 years..he's been here since he was 20... He  and I agree politically.  Not a Trump fan , but dont wanna see our country turn the direction the democrats want to lead us down.. He has worked in every region of the world and it's his opinion that this is by far the best country in the world and probably the last...Especialy for those who want to take responsibility for their own life.. I enjoyed listening to his stories about Europe, South America, Middle Aast,  Africa, etc..

Needless to say my job took me an hr longer than it should have ..

I dont " think" the direction they want to go is more government.. More "help" for those in "need".. more..more......etc...They or I guess maybe me. I'm still a registered democrat (haven't officially switched yet) tell us that's what they want to do..

I'm not a big conspiracy theorist. Most people I know who are in government and are liberal honestly believe they are helping.. My opinion of most liberals is that they have yet to experience life enough or just go through life being naive.. I was both once..

Honestly, he scares the %$%% out of me. My opinion is he's a jerk(putting it politely),crook , and is in this for himself only.I would absolutely love another choice...But if we give in to this socialist movement there will be no walking it back..

You wouldn’t be the only conservative who can’t bring himself to vote for Trump again:

The Democratic Party, imperfect as it is, is  on a totally different league than this fascist and incompetent leftover version of the Republican Party. Fear of socialism/anarchy is a lame talking point that simply does not hold water. I don’t expect you to embrace the Democratic platform but there are simply too many conservative outlets disavowing Trump and his party to ignore if you consider yourself a true conservative.

Spoken, like an I intelligent  educated person who's never really been poor or truly struggled in their life....ha. ha. Or maybe the opposite side of the spectrum who enjoys the handouts...

Seriously.  I dont mean to throw shade.... When I have political discussions with friends these stereotypes seem to hold true...

Do you believe that Trump/Pence have done as good of a job dealing with ISIS as Obama/Biden ?

Were you upset that Trump moved the US embasy in Israel to Jerusalem ?

That’s another caricature that you need to examine. We all fall victim to the fundamental attribution error at times, it’s human nature. You may want a more limited government role (except in policing women’s bodies) but this isn’t an ideological foundation that guides Trump and it’s exactly why so much of the Republican Party has rejected him.

Obama didn’t make many friends on the left by starting the drone program and racking up quite the body count. Yes, Obama/Biden foreign policy and use of military was exponentially better than Trump/Pence. Just listen to the military leadership. Foreign leaders are on record with our Republican leadership voicing reluctance to engage with Trump because of his instability and incompetence. He has repeatedly leaked sensitive information on Twitter and during his meandering rants. Trump has publically rejected intelligence findings and supported our geopolitical rivals. If Fox New doesn’t cover this, just look at the record number of US generals and military leaders (many of whom have a lifelong conservative track record) that have publically endorsed the Democratic candidate. This is a big deal.

I will say, Trump is a master marketer. He coins a concise soundbite and bombards us with it. Somehow folks are still talking about hydroxychloroquine when all the scientific evidence points to its ineffectiveness and associated risks. It’s the same story with ISIS – Trump continues to repeat that we were losing against ISIS and because of him we are now winning. This is a fantasy, but just as he can’t talk about COVID without mention hydroxycholorquine, he can’t bring up foreign affairs without saying that he has beaten ISIS. If you hear something often enough, it becomes easy to believe. To be clear, our economy was booming and had been on a steady rising phase under Obama and ISIS territory had been steadily reduced during his administration. Trump came in and, as the brilliant (and deceptive) marketer that he is, he’s convinced too many people that the Obama economy was in recession and that ISIS strongholds were vast. Both of these are fiction.

You linked a liberal "fact-check" article which I wonder if you actually read.  Did you get to the part that said that the recapture of ISIS territory accelerated under Trump, and the amount captured under Obama was 33 % of that under Trump ?

Thanks for linking it anyhow because it reinforces what I already knew and conclusively indicated that ISIS would prefer Biden as President.

Also, you did not reply to my question about the US embassy move to Jerusalem.

The bottom line is that God will decide who wins the election, and your and other liberal efforts to distort the truth are meaningless.  Biden has turned his back on Christianity.  His pro abortion stance, exceeded only by his running mate, is a solid indicator of that.

One last question for you :  Do you believe that new life begins at conception or at birth ?

You might not realize that you have put yourself in a boxed canyon, but I will pray that you recover soon.

I chose factcheck because it’s analysis is balanced and I hoped it wouldn’t trigger too much defensiveness in you.

...Surely God will choose Biden, a man of faith

I hear only crickets on the embassy move or the life start question. Do you plan on moving to Canada after Trump wins in November ?
