First pics from this year's carcass pile

So what's the latest on the "carcass-cam"? No predators show up yet? I kind of figured that would be a guaranteed situation for some good fox, coyote, possum, skunk, raccoon pics hawk, owl, etc. pictures. I've been eyeballing a road-killed deer down the road, and thinking that I should drag it up into my thicket and plunk a camera over it. But that's a lot of work without some good reason to think it should draw in some critters.

Well I went over there last Saturday and discovered that the last time I reset the cam, I accidentally turned it off before I left, so no pics. Tons of yote tracks in the mud and a bunch of parts are torn up, so they are hitting it. Saturday I am going to sit about 100 yards from the pile with my 223 and see if anything drops in. I'll change the cards out then as well, should be some pics this time lol.

I was totally against white-flash until I started to get interested in photographing critters other than deer. If they get a bit spooked from the flash .... who cares. They'll forget the whole experience in about 5 minutes anyway ... lol. The beauty of it is that the price of these white-flash cameras are quite reasonable compared to the IR ones. It's almost worth having one or two of them around for these kinds of specialty pictures. I figure the time is right to pick up whatever white-flash cams that I want because the selection seems to be getting more and more lean as sportsmen are migrating to the IR cameras because of the game spooking concerns.

Went and checked the cam, actually pulled it and replaced it with a different one. I got some more deer pics, crows and a hawk. No yotes, but oddly, there's a bunch of fur pulled out about 10 to 15 feet away from the pile. It wasn't there last time I was down there, and no pics of what did it. I am starting to lose faith in this cam. The one I put down there is a model I've had great luck with, maybe I'll get some better pics with it. I'll upload some pics and post them later.
