Country singer Charley Pride passed away earlier today at age 86, from Covid complications. RIP

My Dad was a big fan of Country Music . He liked Charlie Pride . My Mom brought home a 78 RPM Album of Charlie Pride's songs . My dad wanted to know what the joke was by putting a black man's picture on the album . Dad had never seen him and didn't know he was a man of color . We all had a good laugh !

I saw and talked with him at the Courtland Country Music Park years ago. I enjoyed listening to him perform.
