growalot
bkln...ha that was nothing...lets see ..a standard threat for rebellious independent kids is .."I'm running away!"....OK I'd pack their little bag and put them and the bag out the door saying " We have rules, not hard ones, but if you think someone else would love you more ...I want you to be happy" a hug and shut the door..Daughter would cry and ask to come back in...son...3yrs old...the little bugger started off down the street...Well I couldn't have that... so grabbed big sister(6) and off in the van we went to pick him up...drove all around town to we found a cop...now they are just yelling Mom please no!!!..Told officer what was going on and to please go tell them about the nasty ppl out their just looking for runaways....He says I can't go scare your kids...I said I"m not asking that..Tell them the truth and if it scares them so be it!...he walks over to 2 kids bouncing around the van now crying...embarrassed...and says You want to run away? son says.. yes (sobbing)...cop..."What did your Mommy do to you to make you run away?"...I said Great!..you tell him exactly what I did...son (sobbing) she...she..wouldn't give me another Popsicle...sob..sob..sob....the officer just stared at me..I said ya I'm horrible..but worked until 15 He does run away...so I called 2 judges and the sheriffs...no one wanted to help so I said...I've documented what I've done to get help and have witnesses..so I am liable for his actions until 18or 21yrs of age ..If he injures him self or others I will hit every form of media known...an arrest warrant was issued...4hrs later son calls...I can't believe you have a warrant out for me!!! I said you gave me no choice...come home or get picked up..he came home...then went to mediation....I have 2 great and responsible kids...both went to college...son owns his own home and is looking to buy another works full time and scraps on the side...daughter has a masters and works in the deans office at a NYS college...When they were out of line I found solutions other than shooting things up

Doc
I think entirely too much is being made of the way he destroyed the laptop. It appears that some have a phobia about using a gun. Probably a version of the same phobia that creates anti-gun people, but we just don't recognize it. I'm not sure what it is about guns that makes people so paranoid, but this certainly is not the first time that a gun has been used to destroy some piece of equipment. We used to consider it a lucky day when a TV set showed up at the dump......lol. I would guess that if he had used a post mall, everyone would have thought it was pretty funny. Frankly, I thought poking holes in it with a .45 was funny.
