Camping 2012

Has anyone made any plans for camping trips this year? We are going up to Lake George RV park for 10 days in August. This will be our 7th year in a row going. Kids always have a great time. We might rent a boat this year on Lake George and do some fishing and tubing. Anybody have any recommendations of a good marina with decent prices? Thanks, Rich

We will be back to camping this year,just havent made the reservations yet. Ive been working on a new (to us) Travel Trailer and should have it ready to go by mid spring as long as the roof work all held up over the winter (which it should have). I have some floors to finish replacing and new closets to build, but everything should be ok other than that.

Rich, Chic's Marina has treated me well. It isn't cheap, but the boats are farely new or new.

Unfortunately I'm camperless as of last year. I'm pushing my boat campaign with the wife, but may pick up a bigger camper. Wish me luck! We'll see.

I'll be at lake George Schroon Valley Resort in Warrensburg 8/16-8/19. Anyone ever camp there?

I know me and my buddys will be in the ADK mountians for at least 5 days for a early bear hunt with the bow. Should be fun i'm going to bring the video camera along and try to get some good footage. Good luck on everyone haveing a safe and successful hunt.

I like to take about two weeks at camp when Bow season starts up. Hunt up a storm, camp up, live, eat & sleep like a king. Love it.

Well, LGSV wasn't bad at all. The showers were moldy, but they were laid back about rules and things. I'd go back. Nice sections of the river there minus the Northway traffic sounds.

Just got back from Lake George RV Park tonight. 10 days there......we had a great time. Now its time to start concentrating on bow season.

Yeah got some smallmouths, largemouths, bunches of sunnies, some nice yellow perch and a 20" chain pickerel. Caught some fish in Lake George and caught some in Glen Lake also. Saw a giant bass under a floating dock on Glen Lake....he was chasing all the tiny bluegills around. He/she wouldnt take any lure or live bait. Fish had to be 5 or 6 pounds easy

Paula if youve never been there its worth the trip. Lake George has got some breath taking views. We rented a 24' deck boat for 4 hours one day and the scenery being out on the lake was awesome. I could have just drove around for the entire time but the kids wanted to do some tubing and fishing.
