mbucks27
I filmed this tom the other day strutting in the middle of the road. This was the oldest most beat up turkey i have ever seen. No beard, missing a lot of tail feathers, and almost no spurrs left. I dont even know if i would shoot this guy if i saw it come may 1st lol. WNY Bowhunter
Dude, I think that's a domestic turkey. Our easterns don't have the white bars on the tail feathers like that one does...it looks like a merriams sub-sepcies bird that got tossed through a barn fan. meatmuzzy
I have to agree with WNY that looks like a merriam. I would put him out of his misery nonetheless!
Pygmy
Whatever he is, the lack of a beard means he is not a legal bird in the spring season... With those massive, knobby old feet, I think he is domestic, anyway.. Probably some Amishman's yard bird.
mbucks27
Yea im guessing he is someones pet considering that he stayed in the road and wasnt afraid of my car at all. He was also with a really old looking hen.
