Earlier this month i posted a pic of a extremely wide buck. Everyone was asking to see him nearly full grown....i finally got him and he did not disappoint ! .

Oh yea, don't forget to put paper towel between layers after frying. It will soak up some of the oil.

I don't dare hunt for wild mushrooms. I can't tell an edible one from a poisonous one. And then I hear there are copy-cat mushrooms that are poisonous but look like edible ones. Mushroom picking sounds like something I would normally be into, but I just don't know enough about them, and mistakes in selection can turn out rather bad.

I am glad i hunt public land in WNY I want to see some follow up picks with you in them, good luck.

Actually the DEC is in a rock and a hard place. They literally cannot say too much. The DEC wants the youth season, but their power could be trumped. The bill/law that kills it is pending...so they can't comment on it, other than to say they will comply, which they have done. They simply cannot tell the public anything because they don't know the final result. Blabbing about it is a political game killer for them...biting the hand that feeds is a no-no.

Here is the thing game belongs to the state, and dec officers are charged with protecting that game, yes they do go on private property, yes they need probable cause what constitutes that i don't know, but try growing a " funnny crop" on private property and watch how fast your rights are gone.... Or hang a deer in the back yard where tag isn't visable and watch how quick they come on "private property".
