  1. Welcome to the club. I'd check the bow hunting section, or use the search feature. You may be able to find some posts about that bow. Don't be fooled by the arguing, there's alot of good people behind those keyboards. We're all just itchin' in the offseason. Good luck!
  2. Yup. My wife called me hysterical crying today. My dog ate another woodchuck. Thing walked right up to our plants with the dog right there. Bad decision.
  3. Nice! and I mean like Mike Tyson on The Hangover..."Nice!" I had a Fraggle Rock lunch box...
  4. True story: My name is John. One day the whole bus sang "John John leprechaun" on the way to school. I went up to the front of the bus and sat next to the driver. I got off first and punched every single kid that sang that song and got off that bus in the arm. There was no singing after that.
  5. I totally stole G-man's pic/quote/signature thingy for FB.
  6. That's funny, Sits thanks Elmo, who is asian. LOL! Shanty, I'm wondering if someone hacked his account?
  7. There, I fixed that for ya. You make a good point, but in reality, prices never went down because of cheaper labor from China. Companies made more profit, but no lower prices.
  8. But just because it's colder than normal doesn't mean the stove burns more wood. Does it?
  9. Is it me, or is 12 cords of wood per year an awful lot for a small cabin in Alaska?
  10. P.S. I love that email of the big Chinese aircraft carrier that suggests they take collecting debts seriously. If that thing runs like all the other cheap crap China makes, I'm not worried at all.
  11. Take it back and tell China, Sorry, ass bet, come get your money.
  12. It could be worse. At least it isn't something else that looks like a pack of hot dogs!
  13. I've pm'ed someone about their after hours kill before. I've also made a thread about an after hours kill that was so blatantly obvious in the article. Those who play by the rules have every right to speak up when someone else isn't playing fair. I spoke to WNY and next time he will send a fruit basket with the dec regs in it. LOL.
  14. I guess I'm just putting my 2 cents in. I had limited knowledge of the NYB issues some had, until this thread. I never really cared too much about the crossbow thing. I just don't see what the big deal is. So you could say I am stoking the fire. Does it bother any of you that someone has a more acurate weapon?
  15. p.s. Probuild delivered the order too. i'll have to dig up my old estimate sheet and give you guys some numbers.
  16. Ever hear of Probuild? They beat Lowes, Hd, Page, etc when I built my addition 2 years ago. Price and quality. http://www.probuild.com/Locator Also, I found some chimney parts on Homedepot.com. It said they were at a local store. I get there and they charge almost double??? So apparently I exposed a glitch in their website which shows clearance price on seasonal items that are out of season, but still in stock. I bought the parts anyway, and the store manager offered to refund the difference. Lowes beats HD all day with selection though. I hear the only reason Home Depot can beat anyones price, is on items that are exclusive to them.
  17. From the nyb website: http://www.newyorkbowhunters.com/xbow.html "Why is it that when the crossbow was first introduced into New York State, it had an effective range of 60 yards but now after over a decade of technological advances in crossbow technology by the crossbow manufacturers, it was been reduced to having an effective range equal to a modern compound bow?" Not quite "superior" is it? Didn't a similar debate happen with the advent of the compound? So NYB says it's more like a gun, but it has an effective range of a modern compound??? Yeah, ok. Is an airgun the same as any firearm? A crossbow propels its projectile via stored energy in the limbs and string. That's pretty much archery guys. So many haters in the hunting community. For the "holier than thou" crowd, doesn't the bible say that jealousy is a sin? Hunt and let hunt... Fudd out!
