I woulda got me chain saw out of my truck and cut the tree down with him in it

It all started with a hypothetical question. I don't put cams out anymore. So, none of this would ever take place. Would I be wrong for thinking it would feel good to know what happened if this actually took place and I found my camera missing?

My ocean boat is "Dirty Hooker", my lake boat is "Filthy Oar", my old lake boat was, "Myott", my duck boat is "High On Quack".

I'm not saying I would. I haven't set out a cam in years because of this. I understand your point but if no one touches my cam they would have nothing to worry about, right? For me, as a kid in the woods with a girl, take all the pics you want!! I got a girl!!!

If they can't catch the guy that stole my cam, they can't prove he took it, can't prove it wasn't his....just sayin. Reminds me about something involving geese and ganders. hmmmm, what was that again?

It doesn't matter if my boobytrap knew the difference! If they (kids and teens) were not messing with my cam, they have nothing to worry about.

Would it be illegal to booby-trap the cameras? Nothing that causes extreme damage to the thief, but enough to make him never want to do it again? Enough to make him warn other would be trail cam thieves. Say, something strong enough to just damage the camera and the hands holing it? I had my fave camera "grow feet" and walk out of the woods. Haven't used one since. Man it sure was nice to see all the deer walking around (that I never saw lol). The cops never find the guy anyway....how would they know that was my camera? How would they know I rigged it? Is the crook gonna go to the cops and say, "I went to steal this camera, and it blew up when I took it off the tree."? I see cameras all the time, along with tree stands. I say to myself, "This area is probably at least as good as I assumed, but, someone else is here already.", and I am on my way, having never disturbed the area or other hunter's belongings. Must be me. I must be the one that is messed up. Oh yea...I know what it is...it's called respect!

Such BS! the bad guys will still have their guns. Nothing will change there. I'm believe that we have the perfectly incorrect view of gun laws in this state. it should be more like Texas or Alaska or others. Put a firearm in every law abiding CITZEN'S hand then see what happens? If you were a bad guy, would you rather hold up a bar in NY where you know the probability is that you are the only one in the room with a gun or in Texas that as soon as you pull out your weapon, there will instantly be 75 guns pointed at the back of your head.
