Ha u can have them …
-
Again …… that’s great but it seems like they would catch on brush etc … My point is they really seem more of a burden than anything
-
That’s what I’m thinking
-
Uhhh no I don’t , guess u missed my point . Let’s say I’m walking into my stand , or out to my truck or whatever in DAYLIGHT And I jump a deer . I’ve jumped them many times and they run 20 yards and stop and look at me ! My point is , even with the flip up caps they just seem to be a PITA to have to deal with and more trouble than they are worth . And leaving them flipped up walking in or out in the DAYLIGHT seems like just one more thing to catch on brush etc. Hope this makes my question more clear . Now at least the bungie ones can be see through. I just don’t see the need for them. I understand they help protect the glass but I’ve never had the glass get damaged without them . Again just asking a question Thx

So it came with those flip up covers. I usually don’t use them and take them off . They seem like a PITA and even just to use them walking into your stand doesn’t seem good , if you jump a deer or need to shoot quick you have to flip them open. Do you guys use them ?

Waitress is about 55 sitting and taking to me while I’m looking at my trail cam pics… She says “ now do you wait till the next day to go get the deer “ I said “ what do you mean “ she said “ well doesn’t the camera trigger an arrow or something that shoots the deer then you just go get it “ im expecting a Biden sticker on her car

We used to eat them as a kid , made like pot pies … they were good that’s a fact

We must have 50 in our yard, of course my wife feeding the birds doesn’t help . Im gonna start knocking them off with my pellet gun.. For some reason I never liked killing them .. not sure why … I can shoot deer , raccoons , ducks etc but for some reason I feel sorry for this rotten bastards
-
Do u crush the pellets ?
-
Yea it’s hit or miss ( no pun intended)on the scope.. Many people have said the same thing , the bow is great , the scope sucks. I wouldn’t take a 50 yard shot with my 370… Im in the 30-35 yard range ..to each their own but that’s my cutoff . The sniper is front heavy but with all the issues I’ve read and heard with Barnett I passed. I went into BPS this week seriously thinking of buying one and the bow tech their talked me out of it . Said the returns and problems he sees with them he would just keep the 370 and upgrade the scope.
-
That seems to be the one that most have said to get. 200.00 doesn’t seem bad .. I paid way more for my Leupolds
-
Well I was going to but seems like it’s all over the place. I’ve seen several complaining the stock scope is garbage . I bought the best bolts I could , field points and broad heads .. you get it dialed in and two shots later it’s out again. Shooting from a rest
-
Yea I’ve had that one in order for 2 months , they keep back ordering it
-
I already do that
-
Yea I agree , so what did u replace it with ?
-
Yea I’m between the Hawke , Crossfire, Truglo , I think any of these three would be much better than this stock scope . Ill check out Wyvern , thx
-
Flake off
-
I’m still using the stock scope but it’s not great. I see lots of positive things about the Vortex crossfire , it’s a 200.00 scope . I assume this would be a better scope than the stock one I have . Any of you guys use this scope

luberhill replied to Northcountryman's topic in Deer Hunting
Agree , and every year it seems there is at least one person killed because of it -
