Wow first time im ever hearing you can hunt shotgun in long island. How do you apply? Where to hunt state land?

Thats usually where I go 4O -Sanford. Me and 7 other hunters didnt get a dmp and we didnt bother going. But last year I saw about 7 does. I think the hurricane took a toll on deer and this weather is too warm, I was thinking about jumping in the river for a swim ahaha.

Safety First!! If its your own land you dont have to wear orange, I mostly hunt state land and always wear orange. Bringing the gun down loaded, thats just plain Stupid. I probably would have called him instead of sending email.

Honestly I dont think I would of driven up there just to give the tag. I probably would of went hunting for little while, and actually told him that it bothered you. Just so he can see it from your point of view.

i went to 3M and went to state forest and alot of deer, was able to fill one of my dmp. But its swamped with hunters

Really? I can understand if it was shotgun area but its rifle.

I went today there since I had 2 doe tags. Lots of sign of deer but very small area. I felt very unsafe, i never seen so many hunters there in just 2 hours. Maybe 10 hunters, there was definetly more because the parking lot had over 15 cars. When i had sat down I had seen hunters sitting down from every direction. I did get a doe but I didn't feel comfortable with so many people around. So who ever goes there be safe.

Fun isnt the word hehehe. Ill find out what kind of dog it was. It wouldnt point but when birds were in the area it was going crazy. -
I region 4 might not have alot but since region 3 mostly orange county its warmer will probably have more.

Are they still out there. Im debating where to go hunting. In the 3 region or 4 region. During deer season in region 4 i have never seen ticks or misquitos. But I don't know about region 3. And we all would want it to be alot colder. Any ideas anyone?
