I have had nuisance permits given to me by farmers and have taken does during the summer months . I shoot the doe for meat not for the sake of shooting them only to let them rot . The land gets posted and the only hunters / shooters are the ones that have permission so that the farmer knows who is on his property . Many farmers didn't feel it was necessary to post until some yahoos would park vehicles where they didn't belong and have to get towed out of a field or climb over fences and do damage . Then the posting began !

The turning point was Robey getting called for pass interference . It appeared he was going for the ball and didn't touch the receiver but I don't think the play was reviewable . Losing to a 1 abd 5 team sucks !

I am surprised that none of the whiners havn't complained about talking sports on a Hunting site . Pass on 4th and one ... incomplete . Must have taken that play from Seattle . Losing to a 1 and 5 team .

If they traded EJ , we would probably have to give the team traded to a couple of draft picks also .

I tried a pair of Hothands Insole Foot Warmers Friday and they worked fairly well . It seemed like they worked best when there was weight / pressure on them . They stick to the bottom of the socks and claim 9 hours of heat . It says they work best in oxygen-restricted environments as in shoes or boots . I must have gotten them on sale ... don't remember .

Watching the game on YAHOO . It isn't on local TV except in Buffalo . Bills 3 - Jags 0 so far .

My youngest son went to Traditions and wasn't too impressed with them . He bought his new bow at Heritage in Phelps and said the guy / guys there were real helpful and recommended it to a couple of friends . I stopped at the Williamson shop a couple years ago and thought they were worthless . My son was ready to drop about $1300 on a Bowtech Admiral with accessories and the folks there couldn't be bothered . After an hour of waiting and getting the run around I left .

Saw a bunch of deer today but 200 yards across the neighbor's field in Geneseo . saw the first deer at 7:30 and the last in the am around 9:00 . Saw i buck and 11 doe . Then Nothing . Drove to the store and got something to eat and used the toilet . Drove to the home of the land owner of the property west of my SILs land . Came back and checked out a couple stands . Decided to use the one across the field from where I saw some of the deer in the am . At about 5:30 I saw 3 doe come across my SILs property a couple handred yards north of me . I picked the wrong stand . Well , I saw deer !

I thought I would be pro active . My SIL's property is maybe 250 yards wide in some spots . 3 new guys have sole hunting rights to hunt the adjacent property west of hers . Often when you get a hit on a deer , they will do a 180 and retreat in the direction that they came from as that had been safe . So , I looked up the address of the land owner and stopped by his house . I talked to his wife and told her I would like recovery permission in case it was necessary . She took my name and number and her husband called me when he got home and said no problem . He texted the cell number of the guy in charge of the hunting group and I will call that person in the next couple of days . No problem with the person on the east side of her property either and we have each other's cell number . So , if the occasion arises to need to do a retrieval , I am all set .

Yes . The land owner can refuse the DEC . Just like many things , Instructors don't always have the right answers . Better check with the DEC and if you ask 3 , one of them may differ from the other two .

Going to give Geneseo another try tomorrow . Plan on leaving here around 5:30 . Car is all packed , ATV loaded and ready to roll .

My vacation started in 1998 when I retired after working 35 years at Xerox .

We are told to wait a few hours before pursuing a wounded gut shot deer . In the meantime , while waiting for the deer to lay down and stiffen up , it has to be in some pain . If it is pursued too soon it will get up and move on . Waiting is a practice that most people follow . Now someone proposes shooting a deer with a gun that has been wounded with an arrow . ?????????????

Heck , why not just carry a gun and an arrow when hunting deer ...........
