This is what I have and it's toasty warm . I also bought 2 extra batteries . It's pricey but how much did you pay for your rifle and scope that won't keep you warm ! I was talking to an old classmate on Long Point Road in Geneseo . She said they use to see several deer on their property during hunting season . But since the neighbor across the road doesn't allow hunting there any more , she hardly ever sees any deer on their property . Apparently the hunters would spook the deer and they would move across the road .

The ones I saw were out feeding during mid day .....

I went to Geneseo to see one of my sisters , a HS classmate and check 3 Trail Cams . Just East of the village I saw 15 deer in a field , another 13 deer on the corner of Lakeville Groveland and Long Point Road and the clumps of 5 - 6 deer in other fields . All that I saw were in harvested corn fields . I saw over 50 deer . It was great to see so many !

I bought a Milwaukee heated jacket and wore it Bow Hunting a couple times when it was cold . Awesome but the sizes are a bit small . I wear it in the sub freezing weather when I am snow blowing the driveway . Got the jacket on EBAY for about $160 . It's about $225 in the store . I have a couple of backup batteries and they are expensive . -

According to an interview that Ottie Snyder ( representative for the HORTON COMPANY ) gave a few years ago . They expect it will draw youngsters , women and Men who don't have time to practice into the crossbow fold and increase the hunting numbers significantly .

I am still a member there but I don't post much . They changed the format on the site and it pretty much sucks now . As for the testing , you would be lucky to be sent anything and then it's cheap . They have some company doing the Test Items now . I pm'd a few members and got them to come over here .

It took over 100 looks to get a reply . It's a harvested corn field and there is some greenery out there . They were relaxed enough to have some laying down . It was nice to see that many healthy deer at once in the middle of the day .

The OP said the water is 4 feet deep . He would need chest waders ..... 4 feet deep and 60 feet wide ... what about a John-Boat .
