    Have to admit I've never heard of this before !

    So with the new Modified / Un-Modified Crossbow Permit it ( If an Individual obtains one) clearly states " New York State " and does not mention 4J , 8C , 1C or 3S . Meaning that those four areas an individual could not previously use a crossbow and now CAN ! Interesting !

    Well I've been lucky this year , I was selected to get a DMAP for the Alcove . Just have to attend one of the Orientation Meetings and then hunt whenever !

    @escpen .... I stand Corrected , I reread the website and sure enough " breath-tube apparatus " is there but for some reason it is not on the Form itself . Now I'm lost as far as the " breath-tube apparatus " being a requirement or just an adder (lets say) ? So Begins the Confusion !

    In reviewing the Form the " breath-tube apparatus " you mention is no where to be found ? I'm sure the NY Bowhunters are up in arms over this but Who Cares !

    There is now a form on the DEC website for an individual to have their Doctor fill out so they can use the Crossbow during the Entire Season ! They still have to have their Bow Certification / Tag . https://www.dec.ny.gov/permits/25022.html
