Picked up the rug today, came out good. Also looked up the 2013 bear take from the DEC stats. and she was the only bear taken in the town I hunt and was 1 of only 8 taken for all of Otsego county. Find myself very fortunate to harvest this huge sow , she went 260lbs. Now just waiting patiently for DEC to send me her age. Here's a picture of her laid out on grass then up on wall.

Biggest NY buck was a 10 pointer and only NY bear I've taken was this past season (2013), she weighed 260 lbs.

My buddy had purchased a new sako in 338 , was shooting reloads and was not getting very good groups. Turns out the crown was damaged. -

Thanks all. One bear and 2 doe in the freezer and I'm set. One more deer would be nice, if not, I'm still a very happy camper. I'm fortunate as to how this year turned out. Good luck all.

Got me a big old doe, came in with three other does. Shot her at about 80 yards with the TC. She's was really big with a huge head, she's been around the block for a while.
