  1. Listen douchebag. You keep spewing and don’t know you ass from your elbow. You keep saying the DEC shares you view because they required a muzzleloading tag. It is obvious you don’t have a clue why that was. There was a reason. Look into some facts before you develop your “neutral” opinion
  2. You must hang around some shitty folks. Yeah I have run into a few bad apples over the years but this pandemic of poaching, unethical gun hunters just doesn’t exist in the levels that are portrayed. I know guys that hunt opening weekend of gun and that is it. They are the sit in the woods and see what happens types. No care about wind, scent or anything. I just do not agree and never will that the bow season would be overrun with the billy bob rednecks you are so scared of
  3. Again. Do you know why this was? For the record it won’t be that way I. The future. I’ll give you a hint. It had to do with hunter education courses and instructors.
  4. I recall I. Previous threads you having a distaste for the top of hunters that would smoke and shower with Irish Spring soap. The gassing up in their hunting clothes. I will disagree with you on the amount of practice needed whether it is gun bow/crossbow. And that had little to do with ethics. To me the ethics comes in with taking the money shot within you ability. Be it 10 yards or 300.
  5. Wonder how many have sent in letters supporting that to our legislators. I’d bet not may.
  6. Are you talking hunter numbers or harvest numbers? I would hope harvest numbers. And when hey do include it for the full season the adjustment will not be season length. It will be in doe permit allocations. If they wanted to really do it right the antlerless and either sex would go away and antlerless would all be I. The lottery system.
  7. Be as blunt as you want. I don’t agree with the term. I could care less about your bluntness. You are what is wrong with the sport honestly. Those that aren’t to your standards or expend what you feel is adequate effort are clowns. I don’t have an issue with a guy that shoots a round to verify, slides In the woods with his coat he wore in the diner and the boots he wore pumping gas. He can stand on watch with a big old cigar in his mouth drinking coffee. You see a clown. I see a guy that just doesn’t take it that seriously. That’s the difference.
  8. Where are you getting that BS from? That isn’t on the table from any sources I have
  9. Got it. Your perfect and the world is criminals. Unbelievable. The crooks are a small percentage just like every other aspect of life. Should pull alcohol off the market because some douchebags drive drunk? It’s every aspect. There are bow hunters that poach. And I include using the wife’s tags in the same category as hacking with lights. It happens everywhere but I do t by that it’s the mass plague you make it out to be. Honestly I don’t care if you want full inclusion or not. So grit your teeth and stomp your feet because full inclusion is coming. Count on it
  10. And as far as responding to your statement. If you mean that gun season has more pressure than bow season, who could disagree with that. Play the cards you are dealt. Use he pressure to your advantage. Change it up and adapt. It’s how it’s been for decades. The guys who constantly take good deer regardless of what goes on stroud them are the ones we should be watching and learning from. Not shining because there will be added pressure
  11. Seems as though you were talking about parcels less than 500 acres or those with unfettered access to every “clown hunter” out there. Increasing pressure so hunting experience is ruined. That seems to be talking about state land given some other comments in here. And so your “experience” is so much more valuable than the “clown hunters” Why is that? Are you entitled more?
  12. The vast majority of the state is a little over 2 and a half months. Really wouldn’t care if they gave the month of October to traditional and toss the compounds and crossbows in the first weeks of November. Or visa versa. I don’t take exception to a true traditional season. I have an issue with the “Just this much easy” crowd’s arbitrary line in the sand.
  13. Clown hunter? About sums up your attitude I guess. What is the purpose of state land? Is it to maintain as little hunting pressure as possible? If that is your goal should we be making state land Accessible for longbow and recurve only? Flintlock only? That should keep the clown hunters out of the game for you
  14. Al. I don’t get part of this. One week out of a four month deer season? What that about?
  15. I have about 18 acres near my home that gets hunted heavily from a lot of folks. I have a 100 acre big woods lease in 7 R. One deer was taken during gun so far and except for two doe fawns I haven’t seen a deer yet and I have been hunting daylight to dark since opening day. 2500 acres of state land right next to me and I haven’t heard 20 shots there all week. So if all those guys grabbed a crossbow and headed into that state land I don’t see the issue near me. I hunted state land almost exclusively my first 15 years of hunting. There was way more pressure back then. I don’t see the issue honestly. I think it is chicken little syndrome.
  16. See that hits on the issue. So many of the ones against them and full inclusion are worried about what the other guy is doing and what his experience should be like. I could care less what somebody else is hunting with. It has zero impact on my hunting experience. If it’s legal, choose what you want and go get them.
  17. And even if all that was as you say. What difference would it make?
  18. And a compound has cables and cams an fancy rests and super high let off so you aren’t holding full weight. That alone makes them a different animal. But you are ok with that? You can use a scope on a compound. I’ve done it. Fixed 3 power. Worked great. With my eyes getting worse with age I may put it back on my adjustable site base.
  19. The really neat part is that there is nothing to fear. If they don’t want one they don’t have to get one or use one. They could also choose to use a stick bow as well. If they choose
  20. Nope. Not even close. Look into it and try another response after you are informed. See that is the issue I have with you and some others. Spewing talking points and do not know what they are really talking about. Mirrors to anti gun folks.
  21. Do you know what it was tucked i. Under the muzzleloader privilege to start with?
  22. That’s a long time. Before many states even allowed them. Poaching must have been good back then?
  23. Many don’t but the majority do. I have to be honest and this is entirely my opinion. I have read your comments and posts and I honestly don’t think you really own a crossbow. You view is too negative.
