Bowhunters- PLEASE Don't Take Bad Shots- See Picture

If you click onthe picture it almost looks like he has it in his mouth like a cigar -
It's all based on quota. Every section has an estimate of the number they want taken. Just like every unit even up in the ADKs. Trust me I take advantage of it. My group took 4 does in a Norther zone area of 5H during the ML weekend. There are NO doe permits in that area. We had the tags and could, so we did. But I still think that if even only 100 antlerless are desired taken in a WMU then it should be up for all hunters that want to try.

That stinks, Let me ask you though, have you taken every deer you have ever shot at? never a miss or lost deer? -
Not really. If the does taken on the archery or ML tags were included in the desired take in the lottery there would be MORE tags issued. I believe that ALL of the antlerless take should be done on the lottery basis. Get your permit and then use it in the season you want to. Gives every hunter the same chance at the tags.

See. That is what I don't agree with and what the Anti's can't seem to get past. Who cares? or who should care is a better question. 2 million people in the woods with a crossbow does not dilute my effort, experience or challenge when I am out there with my compound or recurve. My experience is still mine and is judged by what I do not by what all the other hunters are doing.

Why did you buy a crossbow?
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Five Seasons's topic in CrossBow Hunting
something like a contender or Encore in a light rifle round, easy to opposite hand shoot on a bipod so an recoil is in good shoulder. I know it is bad form but she can shoot cross eye in the scope and still use her good hand trigger finger. -
the only thing I can say Montec's that makes the price point a bit better is I have been able to take 5 deer on a single broadhead. two deer were through a shoulder bone on the off side. spin tested and resharpened and back in the quiver.

does she by any chance have a pistol permit? -
If you have a harbor freight near you they carry a 4 sided diamond stone with 4 different grits. I think it was under $25. Just use water. No oil needed

It really was that I had been thinking about getting one and the opportunity presented itself. It's just a new toy and one more thing to carry when i get the urge. interestingly enough the year I picked up the crossbow is the same year I got my first recurve. lol -
Are you sharpening in a circle or a straight forward push. take about a 6" section of old arrow and screw the Montec in so it can be used as a handle. Seems to work better for me and I have had best results with a straight forward push. no draw return and no circles.
