what you are asking is why don't they have the fall season while it is gun season for deer too?
-
Let's try this. Bob in NY makes 100k and pays 5k in state taxes and his federal taxes are 9500 based on an adjusted income of 95k (deduct state taxes) Jim in another state like Florida with no state income taxes makes 100k and pays 10k in Federal income taxes becasue they don't have a state tax to deduct. That is the comparison we are talking about. SO you feel that just becasue NY chooses to spend and tax it's residents that the Federal portion should be carried dis proportionally by Jim. The shit deal is on the state level NOT an equalization on the Federal.

I don’t agree. While I see the point you made you shouldn’t be looking at it per capita or per state. And the income being higher means nothing. So what if a carpenter gets paid more per year here than they would in a southern state. Means nothing. We are taxes based on the activity. We are taxed on income. A person making 50k should pay the same federal income tax regardless of where they are. Same for a person making 100k or a million.

the crappiest cuts are made melt in your mouth tender canning it. I use what would typically be stew meat.

I added a boillon cube to a few I have done in the past. was a bit too salty for my taste. I just cold pack with a touch of canning salt, couple cloves of hot garlic and a couple wedges of onion. In some jars i tosses in a hot pepper or two. Those were the cans we ate it on crackers cols with hot mustard. I have done a quick canned venison stew. couple pints of venison. cans of cooked potatoes, canned peas or green beans, can of Italian style stewed tomatoes. (all the ones before this are added with the juice from the cans. drained can of pearl onions and can of mushrooms. Heat up, season to taste and thicken with instant mashed potatoes.

You might as well. You know there will be several in the state that are taken with a gun on Friday evening watches. -
This is one of those Chevy Vs Ford (for WNYbuckhunter---Dodges don't even make the list) thread topics and has been hammered here over the years. Personally I have never aged regardless of age and never had a bad cut off one of our deer (that we processed ourselves). I think guys doing things like trying to cut up front shoulders and get steaks out of it are some of the toughness issues. for us we take tenderloins and backstraps. roasts from the hind quarters (that later can be used as roasts, cut to steaks when thawed, sliced for jerky or smoked). Everything else is stew or ground.

yeah, ticks suck. How much do you lose using a game bag? seems like the meat would dry out and crust and require a bunch of surface trimming. No?

last year I was in a long sleeve t shirt in the stand on Saturday and it started snowing on Sunday afternoon. By Monday evening, Tuesday morning there was 15" on the ground. and I was wondering if I was going to get out for Thanksgiving dinner (WMU 7R) -
I have memories going back 45 years of a stone falls up there catching trout and an old cable crossing to a hunting camp across the stream. Probably been 25 years since I was on that stream. Wonder if that cable crossing is still there.

I know the area well. See that you fish as well. Must have spent time on the West Canada, My favorite trout water. Also spent a lot of time up on the water and int the woods around Nobleboro. Beautiful area.

Welcome. Spent a bunch of time up in 5H over the years. Where do you skulk around up there?

It isn't "broad" it is effecting the higher state taxed states. Just so happens that those states are liberal high spending states. States that a Republican candidate will never get electoral votes from anyway. SO it make perfect sense that they will reward the states that will support them and do it on the backs of the ones that won't
