  1. That May be the best line of 2017!!!!
  2. SO the frequency of liberal Canadians getting eaten increases? Where's the downside?
  3. We never minded. It was always a kind of a social event to see the deer that were taken. Use to be a highlight to swing by the check in station if we knew one was up, check out a couple local butchers and then ride the neighborhood to see who had what on the game poles
  4. you could cut it down a lot with mandatory check ins. You still wouldn't get the ones that hunt on their own property but anything mobile could come into play. I remember check stations popping up on roads at various time during the season, especially opening day and opening weekend.
  5. "but he wasn't protesting. he was a lone wolf under the radar. So i fail to see how these views by some members would have prevented this" Two separate scenarios but related in highlighting a need. While this guy acted it out there are many that share his views and hatred. It would not have stopped him other than if he was reviewed under more strict guidelines and removed from the country. From the reports I heard he was vocal about his hatred and I believe showed in in a social media presence. "I fail to see where anyone has a solution to the last 2 white guys who killed far more people. " You are NEVER going to be able to implement processes or legislate away evil and you can't stop all of this.
  6. I understand and I don't have a problem with Non-citizens that are here legally. Unfortunately this one was here legally but was in under very lax standards. My point was if you protest or take any action against the country and are NOT an actual citizen, then they should be on a fast boat out of the country.
  7. honestly I wouldn't spend the time on socializing her on the gun unless you can train out the killing and work on the pointing. You might find that is harder to do than the gun fire.
  8. It also pays to introduce the noises as you mentioned when they are very preoccupied with other things, like eating.
  9. To be fair, if you have a buck tag and an antlerless tag in your pocket what difference does it make what is on the head when you squeeze the trigger? None in my book. He knew it was a deer
  10. Some good points on here. Before I set a plan I would look at prevailing wind and how you are coming into the property. Then you can set aside the sanctuary area so not even your scent disturbs them. If I were putting in one large plot I would stay away from large square type shapes. many fingers and points and short lines of sight. Deer tend to want to see what is around a corner and I believe it promotes movement even when they are in the plot.
  11. I've never been able to recover one of my Sierra game kings that I load up. They have always gone through (including when shoulder shot). I wouldn't keep shooting a bullet if I kept finding it in the animal. I understand the whole expending all it's energy in the animal point but I like two wholes leaking. I know there are a few on here that load the Barnes X bullets. Lawd and Pygmy I believe have had great luck in the 243 with them.
  12. That is what these marshmallow lefties in our country don't get. There is one way and ONLY one way you are ever going to defeat them. They need to fear us more than they fear their god.
  13. He shouldn't have been taken to a hospital. He should have been brought to the nearest garage and his nuts placed in a vice to find out any information about events he may know about. Then tossed on a plane to Gitmo
  14. No. Just read up on the safe act before you sell any. There are requirements there
  15. If you put a conventional stock on the 10-22 you are good to go with that one too. Google NY compliant AR and you can see some pics of the mods that would allow that one to come as well.
  16. As a side note you can get the Ruger and AR so it is NOT an assault weapon but the AR will look like crap with the type of stock you need. You have some options. I wouldn't bring them before figuring out your options though. Unfortunately with the pistols you are screwed.
  17. we got ours last weekend and it is drinking like crazy too. I like when it does though. Holds the needles better then. When it stops is when they start dropping. Suggestion to anyone gettign a fresh tree. whether you buy a precut or cut one yourself. trim a small section of about 1/2" off the bottom just before you place in the stand and immediately add water. The sap will create a coating and keep it from drinking like it should. It does it pretty fast too.
  18. Where are you coming from? I am going to assume it from out of state with my answers. See in bold above https://safeact.ny.gov/registration-questionnaire Welcome to The Peoples' Republic of NY
  19. There were lots of rifles that were classified for 22 short, 22 Long and 22 LR. I have a savage single shot that lists all 3. I have never seen a 22 long but have shot shorts and Long Rifles out of it and it shoots fine. I believe there was also a 22 extra long.
  20. Styrofoam cooler all taped up with ice packs. I can't remember if it was dry ice or not.
