if I'm at home and cleaning the gun ill leave it in soapy water over night and wipe it dry in the morning I've never had any kind of rust or anything form on the breech plug.

I soak my breech plug in hot soapy water it clears the hole up pretty quick

there are some huge bucks over there I remember a bunch of years ago I was coming down Walden and right at Walden and Harlem coming out of tge thick brush this massive buck appeared he had to be a 10-12 pt tons of mass and width. It would be nice to draw bow tags for some of these areas

I believe it on the north side of the 400 where the pink flamingo is up on the hill I seen a giant probably around 10 or so years ago had to be in the 160s. The biggest I've ever seen was a 22pt about 10-12 yrs ago on river road behind the fence of the Dunlop plant I got to with in 5 yards of the deer what a hog it could barely hold its head up I couldn't imagine what that thing would have scored

Same over where I was hunting they are bedded and herded up with in 50 yards of the 400. Ive never seen a buck over there but I always find the big group of doe. Last year I did find a big perfectly symmetrical 8 point 120s. Dead 25 yards from the 400

I don't hunt the spot but once or twice between bow and gun but this time of the year its so much closer to home and holds so many deer I love it over there. I love how the deer hug the trails right along the side of the 400

That is a sweet way to end the season congrats on the buck and his shed. You should rent your stand out for the rest of the season. Lol

I went To east aurora for an evening sit I call the spot my doe spot its a small area surrounded by houses on one side and the 400 on the other side. I say in the stand until 4 climbed down walked a couple hundred yards to see if the deer were in the area sure enough I see a doe trot off 75 yards away. I get down on one knee into a shooting position because I know there's always more then one deer over here sure enough a nice doe at 80 yards I get into position touch off the shot the cloud of smoke then deer erupt from all around me 20 plus deer running in all directions some coming with in 10 yards of me on their mad dash for cover one foe runs right up to me and stops 5 feet from Me while I'm reloading just as I grab the primer she takes off. I walk over to where the deer was that I shot at I can't find any blood or anything there's tons of tracks can't tell which were her tracks so I walked all around to look for sign I didn't find any but just to make sure I'm gonna go over there during or after work tomorrow to look again. I seen more deer tonight then I seen all of bow and gun combined

Gonna head out for an afternoon hunt today waiting for the wife to get back from picking my daughter up from school ill leave the house at 1 and be in my stand by 145-2. I'm pumped

Venison stew in the crock pot for 8 hrs. I used 4lbs of venison with carrots corn celery potatoes and a few small pieces of onion me and my brother in law ate the entire thing

I know people who do this me personally I don't its illegal and I don't see many bucks if some one is filling their buck tags and everyone else's buck tags eventually he won't see many bucks and Will be kicking himself in the a$$ for shooting so many

I hunted every weekend except for one I seen 2 small bucks during bow and passed on both of them didn't see any doe. I seen 2 doe opening day of gun season and took one of them the last weekend I pushed a 5 pt to my friend worst season ive ever had but ill still get out for a couple afternoons with the muzzle loader

I was at my brother in-laws for my nieces bday party yesterday and they were taking about him him and his wife's brother golf with the guy they were saying how great of a guy he is . My buddy sent me a pic of his buck on opening day it is a true giant. Prayers for him and his family
