  3. Lets hope it doesn't take 3 Mississippi's! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  4. Do yourself a favor and research scopes before buying. You'll need a scope capable of front and back recoil designed for break barrel airguns. Most scopes designed for powder burners are one way recoil, break barrels will eat these expensive scopes up. Break in the trail, then shoot it at 25 yards and see what groups you get. If you are getting dime sized, go with a 4-16x UTG. If quarter sized, go with a 3-9 or 12x CenterPoint Adventure class or UTG/Leapers. Side parallax is WAY better than front. Anything bigger than a quarter at 25, return it or change pellets and start over. Good luck with it! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

  8. Buffalo? That's on my way to Toronto! Is that invite extendable? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  9. The arrow flight, speed, and range discussion came up because an idiot made a claim that it takes 3 seconds for an arrow to hit its mark. At 100 yards, my 213 FPS arrow would reach my target in 1.448 seconds and 1.079 seconds at 75 yards with a BC of .25. Ask me how I know this. It really is a moot point, unless you are a caveman shooting a 75 FPS arrow. Then you'll hit your target at 75 yards, in 3 seconds. I believe we might have ONE on this forum. 10. http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=59114.0 Stan, with a little work, you can have yourself a pretty cheap Marauder. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  11. Puppets don't go to jail, criminals do. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  12. As Doc would say regarding Hunters Safety, the newer the hunter, the safer they may be. After all, it's still fresh. Regarding giving the green light for these shots, I've stated my stance on this for NYS, and its not in agreement with what Biz said. I can't speak for Biz though, he'll answer for himself I'm sure. As for years bow hunting? 1. Kills? I've lost count. Maybe 45 or so? But who's counting, right? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  13. Technically, Ray hit his mark in one shot. That's MODeer all day long. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  14. Huge nuts! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  15. MOA or mil-dot? Then there's also Mrads... I find the mil-dots to be helpful in slower calibers and airguns for hold-over/under, but for long range precision shooting, it's probably a better idea to use the turrets in a quality trackable scope. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  16. Sorry Doc, could you do me this favor and clean up this mess? I'm trying to be nice, but boy it's hard to resist helping the slowpokes(4 seasons in a year). X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  17. I reload, don't worry about my ammo. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  18. Like many of the low-end made in china products, quality control does not exist. This is the reason why Mike is in business, he IS the quality control post production. This goes for a lot of the Crosman and Daisy products as well. The .25 Marauder is an exception, as the most important part, the barrel is made by GM barrel company and has a great track record for being consistent and accurate. Its almost time for me to do a tear down on the pump to replace seals as well.... X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  19. Listen, I know you bust your hump for what little you have, please don't go throwing it away in a silly bet. I'm not one to take what Obama gave you. Just let it go.... X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  20. You edit pretty fast for a slow guy! Coming from a guy that can't seem to tell time, it doesn't mean much, does it? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  21. Schooled, heh. Sure thing asshat. Don't go spending all your lunch money on silly bets now. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  22. Goofy, maybe. But the question wasn't directed at you. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  23. Well, thanks for that answer then Doc, you sure saved me a few seconds of my life in doing the simple math myself. Have a good one, will ya? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  24. Anyone reading your response directly to MY question can tell that your answer is strictly biased. My question was prompted when a certain individual was implying that it takes 3 full seconds for an arrow to hit its mark, even out to 100 yards is approximately 1 full second. Either that individual is slow and can't count properly, or doesn't know what he's talking about, or both. In the post directly after his, you seemed to agree... Although I do not agree that a 75 yard shot with a bow in NYS is common or advisable, Biz is entitled to his opinion, and he has also stated the situations where one can make such a shot. You've also made your point that a deer already in motion can have a certain displacement in the time the arrow is released until it hits its mark, or in your case, miss its mark. If you want anyone to respect your point of view, it's probably best to respect others first. So this has really got me thinking, how slow was this 3 Mississippi bowman? 25. You can't go wrong in a PCP for only $100! What's the power source going to be Stan? Pump? On a side note, I just tore down my Benjamin and replaced a few seals. Leaking PCP's is no fun! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
