Best I can do thus far on my savage is just over an inch ctc with a 3 round group. Average group is over 2", which is unacceptable for my standards in a rifle. Took 3 shots with a Remington custom rifle, .25" ctc and 5 shots opened it up to .4" ctc. All from factory federal ammo. Needless to say, I'm not a happy camper with my .243 right now. Rechargeable AA Batteries

I've been using the Sanyo Enelopes for over 2, maybe 3 years now. I can't comment on the Duracell ones, however. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -

Sanyo's are pretty damn good batteries. They make the Enelopes. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -

Pretty good tips so far. Spin caster reels is what phade is referring to. They are the standard reel for kids starting out. Use whatever line that comes with the setup, or use a 6-8lb mono for starters. You'll want something soft and thin enough not to cause tangles and be easy to work with on those lite poles. Floats are great as mentioned, but not necessary if the water is calm and clarity is excellent. Many times, you can see the fish run up to the bait and watch the action. Be sure to use small wire hooks for those sunnies. I like using Aberdeen hooks for easy removal. Size 10 Aberdeen is a great size. The gold colored ones sometimes don't even need bait! Be careful and keep it fun! Make sure he's safe from falling in at all times, and when he's ready to go, you are too. If he had fun, he'll surely want to do it again and you'll have a fishing buddy for life. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Closest rifle county to you is Orange, across the river. Look into Sterling Forest and some DEP properties that may allow hunting with rifles for deer. Like others have stated, make sure you are capable at the range before hitting the woods looking to hit a live target. If you are new to guns as well, I'd be glad to show you at the range in Blue Mountain. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Probably more like $600 for full member, since you'll need to sell $100 raffles per year and attend a work day, or pay a $50 fine if you don't. The $450 seems deceiving. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems- 19 replies

That's a pretty sweet gun! You only need one shot from a 243 anyway! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Bordering property is DEP, not DEC. Additionally, this is sidetracking the thread, but the OP would probably want to know the contact person is Bob and there's a few more rules to hunting the Preserve side than just qualification and orientation, there's also the requirement of using a climber tree stand as you are not allowed to hunt deer from the ground. Soft lead, like the Kings will nearly vaporize under 40 yards shot from the Mrod on a solid steel surface. Anyone within 30 yards to either side should take serious precaution, don't ask me how I know. You're surprisingly much safer that the pellets penetrated, but I can see where there was at least one that didn't. Shoot safe.
