I passed on one yesterday. If things stay slow, like they have been, and if the season is winding down I might pop one but for the first couple of weeks I'll hold out for a long beard.

Past 2 mornings haven't been real noisy but that dosen't mean that they're not there. 3 years ago I killed 2 nice Toms and my buddy got a third. We also saw a few more that we screwed up on. That whole season we NEVER HEARD A SINGLE GOBBLE.... NOT ONE..... They all came in quiet. Who knows!!!

Congrats...Im in the same boat. This will be year #3 if I don't connect. I passed on a Jake this morning & I'm starting to regret it. Fingers crossed..Congrats again...

Thats good to hear. I think that there is a lot of hoarding going on. Hopefully people will realize that they finally have enough ammo stored up in their basements and will relax, allowing things to get back to normal (or at least close to normal). The people who are hoarding and reselling , for a profit, are just self serving little maggots. What can you do???? But if the ammo situation gets back to , at least close to, normal the little maggots will have to find another way to screw people.

I think that stores are getting in as much as they ever have,but people are so paranoid that they are buying it up as soon as it hits the floor.

Im going to give it another "O-dark hundred" tomorrow and then I think I'll sleep in the rest of the week and head out at 8 or 9. I have also had good luck later in the A.M.

Heard two gobblers, far off. Couldn't get anything going and I heard no shots. I could only hunt until 8:30 because I had to pick up my son by 9:30, so I hope the woods exploded with gobbles after i left. I did see quite a few deer, so thats a good thing. New game plan for the morning. Good luck.

People are screwing each other. I heard that people, at the show, were selling bricks of .22 for $100. Stop being selfish pricks!!!

Just finished changing out the whole damn thing. What a pain in the a$$. Not difficult just time consuming. everything fit fine and it works great. I only threw one screwdriver, out of frustration because I put the front plastic back on before I ran the wires all the way, so I had to take it off again. Only one thrown tool, and nothing broken, is good for me. Bud Lite time.

It is cool to find these things. I have brought home many over the years.Last year I found an old one quart 'PRINDLE' milk bottle. My wife loves it. She uses it to put flowers in. The coolest one I've found is an old Piels beer bottle. It's brown and all the words are molded into the glass. One time I was poking around in an old, dilapidated barn and I found an old glass persciption bottle that was in perfect shape. The label was hand written in perfect penmanship and dated 1900. It was from a long gone pharmacy (druggist) in Syracuse. I had it on my mantle for a few years but then I bought my son a nerf football and the rest is history.

I missed last season too, because of an injury, so I'll be there for sure!! I did a little scouting the other day and saw lots of turkey tracks, scratchings loose feathers.......can't wait.

it's frustrating to see these dirt bag politicians continue to screw people over, in order to push their agenda or ideology . Their lackeys do what they are told and it seems like some peon is always there to take the fall for them. Little King Andy is among the top dirt bags in the nation. Hopefully things will finally turn.

From what I remember the problem (if any) is eating too much of the fat, which is where toxins are stored. I use to water fowl hunt a lot, but never really cared for the taste of ducks/geese...tooooo gamey..
