I know a guy, who is a very successful turkey hunter. He only uses #4 steel shot out of a modified choke. He swears by it and says that it shoots super tight. Like I said..what ever shoots the best out of your gun.

Last week I found 223 at the Dicks at Carousel Mall in Syracuse. They had a bunch of pistol ammo too but it was all 20 round boxe$$ of defense loads, no hard ball 50 round boxes. Maybe things are starting to lighten up.

I have heard nothing but good about the Ruger American. They are suppose to be very accurate. Three lug bolt, floated barrel, bedding blocks...I bet you will be able to put them right on top of each other. Good luck.

I would't put anything past these people. Gun powder can be used to make bombs and ammo contains gun powder so ban or greatly restrict ammo. Its how these nuts think.

I use 3" or 3 1/2" # 4 or 5 out of an extra full turkey choke. But if someone told me that I could only use a standard heavy field load out of an old full choke 870 or Mossberg 500,,,,, I wouldn't bitch too much. What ever works I guess.

Im not an expert, but the ones I use have an O-ring that hold the blades back. You have to check them especially before you knock an arrow in the field. You probably have to replace them every few years.

I went to Rage ( razor tips) three years ago, after shooting Thunder Head chisel tips for years. The first buck I took I hit kind of high in the shoulder (my fault) He didn't go far but he didn't die as quickly as I would have liked, because I hit heavy bone. Since then I have taken two other bucks with the razor tips. They were hit where they should be hit, and the results were amazing. Huge holes and the deer went practically nowhere. I would guess that having a Rage with a chisel tip would be like having the best of both worlds. IMHO

I don't really pay much attention to the pattern itself I think it all works. I concentrate on how dark or light the clothing is. I like a lighter color pants, to go with the dead leafs on the ground, and a little darker grayish top to help blend into the trees I sit against.

Last week my wife comes home and tells me that the brakes on her van, "feel funny" and that the van had a bad smell to it. Apparently this has been going on for two or three weeks but she never mentioned it to me. I go out to check and I can smell the burt brake pads as soon as I opened the door. Back brakes, pads, rotors and calipers totally fried. $750.00. Yesterday Im running around in my truck, trying to get things done before my sons confirmation, when I look down and see that my dash is lit up like a x-mass tree. Service engine soon, anti lock brakes and anti skid. All at the same time!!! Before I get home my anti locks start kicking in every time I stop. LOL!! Im $ure it$ ju$t a loo$e $krew or $omething $imple like that. Right?? Ha...Ha.....ha. Give me a freak'n back...
