I didn't even go out. I felt a little guilty, and wanted to try and fill tag #2, but when I broke out in a sweat at 7:00 this morning, walking to the mail box for the paper, I felt a little better.

Wel said. ..If the government is in charge of your healthcare then the government can dictate how you live your life, as it relates to health."since we (the government) are in charge then we mandate that you maintain a certain weight" or "since we are in charge we mandate that you eat only government approved foods" or "since we are in charge we mandate that you must exercise a certain amount each week" etc..etc. If you fail to follow these mandates you face fines or other penalties.

I don't smoke, but if i did and as a result got sick from it, MY insurance would pay for treatment wouldn't it? How dose the public bare the cost. Just asking...

Good call ! Im having all kinds of thoughts on other ways this could have been handled. .....Agree to meet the guy and then throw him a "blanket party" ....Make him walk to a remote location to pick up the eggs, wait til he walks out of sight and deflate his tires.....meet him and just punch the s--t out of him.... But you made the right call..Good job.

Glad it worked out. I left my shotgun laying at the edge of a swamp once, at a public parking spot. I had it leaning up against the tire of my truck while I was loading up my canoe, then I drove off. It was a 30 minute, white knuckle, ride back to the spot, and I found my gun laying there but I know the feeling. I bet your friend will never do that again LOL!! -
one other thing I'll be doing is spending the next 2 or 3 weeks trying to get my pool up and running so my wife and kids can use it twice, then I close it back up. I spent a few hours on it yesterday and got nowhere. Every time I turn on the filter motor it pops the breaker. What a freaking pain in the A$$. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Could be mud/dirt splattering out of your gutters. If they are clogged or even have a good amount of dirt and rotten leaves in them, the gutters will over flow and throw that stuff everywhere during a good rain.

LOL ..... Im a blued steel and hardwood guy too. besides my muzzle loader, thats all I own. But a can appreciate the modern stuff for its accuracy and durability . Before you know it they wont even make the wood stock rigs anymore. It will all be tupperware.

Probably just a little fishing and a little food plot work & mowing... I have too much to do around the house and I have an old car Im working on. I'll start getting antsy around Sept. & start clearing spots out and looking around..

Went out Saturday and there were at least three different toms answering me. I ended up getting one of them. Went to the same spot yesterday hunted till 10 or so and not a peep. Who knows????

S... happens. If you could predict 100% of the time what the bastards will do, it wouldn't be any fun. Im no pro but I've been at it for a while. I think once the gun is up leave it there. They seem to just appear sometimes and if the gun is up at least its already shouldered and you have one less move to make if you decide to pull a quick shot. You still had a better day than me. I hunted the same area that was full of gobbles, the day before yesterday, but today not a sound..... 4 more days...

A friend of mine was turkey hunting last week. He was walking down a hedge row when a big doe popped up from the tall grass less than fifty yards to his left. He said that she didn't run but kept stomping and blowing at him. He just walked right by her and she never left. He said he was pretty sure that the doe had a fawn laying in the grass with her.

I wonder if a tie dye method would work ? Take an olive drab, military surplus type, shirt or pants and bound it up tight in a bunch of places with big rubber bands, then stick the whole thing in a brown or black dye solution. It might look a little crazy but it might work too.

Three Rivers in Baldwinsville. Actually I got a nice Tom there yesterday morning. In Cicero I hunt private land near the Cicero swamp. I have had action there almost every time I went out but no shots.

Yeah..I hear ya. a lot of my friends haven't done too well either. Year before last I got skunked and last year I missed the whole season because I was hurt. So Im still smiling. I almost didn't go out today but my buddy kept razzing me so we went. Thats how the luck goes I guess. Heading back out Mon. to try and call one in for him. Thanks and good luck to all.
