  1. When it comes to an unborn child I think we are dealing with complete and total innocence and helplessness. And I don't think we should nuke Afghanistan. Of course this is just one "Damn Man's" opinion.
  2. Could the 18 year old girl wait a semester, have the baby (oops fetus) give it up for adoption and then go to Yale? Could the broken condom kid and the girl (oops Host) have the baby, I mean fetus, then give it up for adoption ? Is abortion another form of birth control? I guess the abortion stance is easy to take when you don't consider human life as humane life. Its a virus living off of a host and above all an inconvenience, in certain cases. Easy as breathing.
  3. Didn't Dennis Rodman just solve this whole problem?????
  4. Your vest weighed 52 lbs??? I hope there was a big tom stuffed in the back before you weighed it!! LOL!
  5. The teacher said that she was "totally devastated" when she saw the picture. If she was "totally devastated" by a picture of a gun then she is not rational or stabile enough to be teaching children. Unfortunately the current education system breeds this type of irrational thinking. It is a blatant attempt to indoctrinate children. Its gotten to the ridiculous point where, if a child showed up at school with a copy of Playboy in his back pack, thats okay because children are naturally inquisitive. If the same child showed up at school with a copy of Outdoor Life, that had a picture of the latest hunting rifle on the cover, the police would be called, the child's parents would be called, the kid would get suspended and the school would call in counselors to further freak out the kids all in an attempt to implant an irrational fear of guns in children's minds. These "educators" should be ashamed of themselves.
  6. I like mine. I just grab it and go, knowing that everything I need is inside. I got a new one about 3 years ago that is all mesh except for the pockets, so its nice and cool.
  7. I agree. Most of the people there just took their one box of what ever ammo and left, but a few guys wanted a lot more. One guy was bitching because he could,t buy cases. I think these guys are planning on reselling the stuff down the road.
  8. I know that this topic has been done to death but.. I was in the local Gander Mtn. this past week end and one of the gun guys told me that they get their ammo shipments in on Wed. mornings. I have been trying to find .22LR, .223 and .357 for a while. I got there this morning, 5 minutes after the doors opened and it was a mob scene at the gun counter. Today was the first day that Gander makes you take a number on "ammo day". Apparently guys have been showing up, as soon as the doors open, and buy the entire pallet of ammo, which is B.S. I was #42 and people were still streaming in behind me. They kept the whole pallet behind the counter and two guys were just calling out numbers. It was a one box limit until everyone was served and then they would start over. I ended up getting some 22 and 223 but no 357. The whole pallet went in about 40 minutes. What a freaking zoo.
  9. Need a little help. My Google is down...Im trying to find out where most of the gun violence in the U.S. occurs. It's in the suburbs and rural areas.....right????
  10. Did you hear about the new "Backpack Jetpack?" With this thing you can soar above the parachute people (with the minimum of training) and avoid collisions. Each one comes with a free parachute back up. But I hear that people are selling the back up chutes at a price that covers more than half the cost of the jetpack. Problem is if you sell the back up chute, it voids the warranty of the jetpack and the chute, so if they don't work you're screwed. Even with a receipt.
  11. I agree with that. Im not a huge gun control guy, but the fact that a guy in NY can drive a few hours to Ohio, pay a friend/associate there with an in state valid license to buy a hand gun(S) for him and then bring it back into NY where it is used in a crime is BS. I don't have a problem with all states having a pistol permit process similar to New York State.
  12. This is pretty much what I said. It applies to individual (private) sales and does not apply to hand guns which, like it or not, account for the majority of gun violence. Im talking about New York state here.
  13. What is the "gun show loophole?" There certainly is no loophole when it comes to hand guns. You cannot buy a hand gun at a gun show, with out a valid pistol permit. I believe venders at gun shows are also required to call in back ground checks on any long gun they sell. The only thing that may be considered a gun show loophole is when private citizens go to a a show, with a long gun that they want to sell. If you have been to a show Im sure you have seen guys walking around with long guns slung over their shoulders with prices attached somewhere on the guns.( most of these guns are antiques or collectable, not the type that criminals want) If they sell the gun to another attendee, no back ground check is done. Just like if you were to sell your shot gun another person. This whole "gun show loophole" thing is just another distraction from the real problem which is criminals with handguns that are either stolen or purchased out of state and then illegally given to the criminal.
  14. The overwhelming majority of gun crimes committed in New York are Committed with illegal hand guns. Most of these guns are either stolen or purchased in states that only require a clean drivers license to buy the weapon. Career criminal, gang banging repeat offender scum find people with a clean license, pay them to buy the weapon, out of state, and then bring the gun into NY where it is used to commit what ever crimes. In NY ( unless you are a criminal scum who already possesses a hand gun illegally) you cannot sell a hand gun, that is on your permit, to another person, unless that person also has a valid permit. If a person did, and that gun was used in a crime , the gun would be easily traced back to the original permit holder. So I guess I don't get the whole "secondary sales loopholes"
  15. When I was a little kid we had toy guns in the toy chest in our class room. We all fought over them. When I was in high school our shop teacher showed us his new shot gun, out in the school parking lot. But all the while the pot smoking hemp wearing hippies were taking over the education system, slowly but surely.
  16. I was going to guess...because there are so many dumb ass's out there who constantly come up with dumb ass laws and dumb ass rules. Partial credit??
  17. Im surprised your friend had that problem. You would think that who ever test fired the gun would have noticed that the spent shell didn't eject. Maybe one of his kids took it out for a little range time before giving it to him and didn't notice the shell stuck in the chamber. But I guess anything is possible. I have heard nothing but good about Henry.
  18. I had my wife shoot a 12 gauge once when we were first married. She's small. If I wasn't behind her to catch her she would have fallen right on her a$$. But all these politicians know whats the best for my family and me. Arrogant, out of touch little rats.
  19. A kid did get suspended, a month or so ago for the finger gun thing!! These incidents are so over the top that the only answer is an ulterior motive.
  20. I really think schools are attempting to train our future adults to be afraid of, and hate, guns. If they get enough people thinking that way, it makes it that much easier to ban guns down the road. Im not a conspiracy guy, but given these irrational decisions, made by schools, it makes me think. Last week a 6 year old little girl was suspended for having an "L" shaped piece of paper that her teacher said looked like a gun. I think it was in Philly.
