"The whole ten yards" is another old military phrase… Not as old as this one tho. During WWII fighter planes were armed with 50 cal machine guns. The belts of ammo for those guns were 10 yards long. If I pilot really ripped into an enemy plane, he would give it "the whole ten yards" (of ammo) or he all he had.

I posted 4 or 5 times because no one will answer, why some one would intentionally go to the political site, open a topic and then get all bent about it. Why not just skip it?? And yes, I get that you don't want the site to be associated with the far right , but a person still has to go look for the political topics. Do you understand my question?? And I got more than a few likes on my posts, so a lot of people are wondering the same thing I am. What names are you going to call those people??

A person has to scroll past 37 hunting related headings, before they get far enough down the list to click on the political section. THIRTY SEVEN!! Think If anyone reads the political posts, its because they want to. Just saying….

Yes. And you should do the same with the political posts. I don't click on 2/3 of the topics on this site, because most of them don't interest me. You choose to search out topics, you don't like, and then complain about them. Its nonsense. There are a ton of members here who you will never see responding to a political topic. Thats how you handle topics you don't care for.

I have no idea what the jeans thing means…..The terms "slim fit "and "skinny hipster jeans" mean nothing to me. For me slim fit would be like a 34 waist..LOL..But Im way older than you… My wife's niece lives in NYC. We went there a while back, and her niece wanted to meet us for dinner at 9:00??? By the time we got back to the hotel it was like 1230.. I was too tired to have my after dinner cigar, that I bought at that shop in Times Square. Good shop by the way....

Years ago a friend fell out of a tree and ripped his side open on a screw in step, on the way down.. He got, I don't even remember how many stitches, but he could have died. Since then When I rarely use screw ins I place them closer to the back of the tree rather than the sides and closer together. . Still dangerous if you fall, while climbing, but not as much
