Is climate change just another religion?
Grouse replied to Hunter007's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Do you enjoy your iPhone? Do you like having a comfortable home in the summer and winter? Do you think abundant and affordable energy is important to our economy and national security? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then you’ve got big problems with today’s left that insanely believes “green energy” will power everything. It won’t and it can’t. But economics and reality don’t matter. The left has its narrative, and it is pushing its radical agenda full speed ahead — no matter the damage or risks. The left’s insanity was on full display Wednesday during a House Financial Services Committee hearing. Seeking to publicly shame America’s financial industry leaders for not sufficiently kowtowing to the radical “green” agenda, Rep. Rashida Tlaib asked, “Does your bank have a policy against funding new oil and gas products?” The CEO of Citigroup said, “We will continue to invest in and support clients who are investing in fossil fuels and in helping them transition to cleaner energies.” The head of Bank of America said something similar. But it was J.P. Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon who gave the best response. He very succinctly said, “Absolutely not, and that would be the road to hell for America.” He’s right! Let me remind you that immediately after stumbling into the Oval Office, Joe Biden canceled the Keystone XL pipeline and started suspending oil and natural gas leases. What happened? Gas prices started going up and up and up. It wasn’t long before we were all paying record prices for gasoline, and Biden was begging Venezuela’s Marxist dictator for more oil as gas prices surged to $5.00 a gallon. But that’s not all. Biden’s Democrat allies have been on a jihad against America’s energy companies. Congressional Democrats have been pressuring banks to cut off loans to fossil fuel companies, and they’re still at it! Europe is in the middle of a major energy crisis with skyrocketing electricity prices that are busting family budgets and bankrupting businesses. Why? Because Europe bought into the “green energy” hype, abandoned fossil fuels and doesn’t produce enough of its own energy. Democrats are determined to repeat this foolishness. -

Great example of how you cherry pick data Belo. Notice how the dates here are from all different years going as far back as 2012 but all on this one page. This is why you have no credibility. All you had to do was pull up this page. Grouse's Content (huntingny.com) -
"OCTOBER 21, 2021: Biden said he hasn't visited the border because he hasn't 'had a whole hell of a lot of time.' Since then, Biden has spent 141 days on vacation. ... Biden has spent 40% of his presidency — 242 days — on vacation. He has never visited the southern border." —Republican National Committee

DNA testing confirms gray wolf killed near Cooperstown
Grouse replied to Grouse's topic in General Hunting
Some people think it was planted in NYS for a reason. Wildlife advocates have called for the DEC to revisit and restrict coyote hunting regulations, in addition to educating hunters about wolves and coyotes. There are no limits on how many coyotes hunters kill during the season that runs 24 hours per day from October 1 to March 26. Wolf advocates say hunters may be killing wolves that are misidentified as coyotes. The DEC says it provides information to hunters and trappers to distinguish between coyotes and wolves and will seek feedback from sportsmen’s groups when the animal is unusually large. -

Makes me wonder what the hell I've been doing out there in the woods since 1970. The burden of proof lies with the accuser. Not with the falsely accused. How would you respond if I accused you of being a non hunter based on your posts? -

Immigrants on the dole
Grouse replied to Grouse's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
More than 2 million illegals were stopped at the US-Mexico border during the past 11 months, with a record 2.3 million border encounters projected for the 2022 fiscal year, according to new figures from Customs and Border Protection. It marks the first time the figure has eclipsed the 2 million mark in a single fiscal year and represents an increase from the 1.7 million encounters for fiscal year 2021. The total is driven by a surge in illegal migration from Central and South America, with the number of illegal immigrants from Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela up 175% from last year. In August, roughly one in five illegals had already been apprehended within the previous 12 months. -

You know I don't hunt?? LOL! You start off showing everything you think you know, is wrong. If you took the time to read that article I linked, you might understand it is a very pro-environmental piece that points out how the Environmentalism movement has been taken over by fanatics that are pushing demands that do NOT work, at the cost of billions of dollars and maybe billions of lives before they are done. They are a cult that is much like the ancient fools that thought throwing virgins into a volcano would solve their problems. Good intentions mean nothing. Results mean everything. Not only are the cultist's results ineffective regarding improvements to the environment, they are down right dangerous to the economic survival of many world economies. We are allowing these folks to destroy civilization in their fanatical, cult like religious quest, to "save the planet". It's like they want to destroy the human race to save their "God" the earth. It's funny to think a God would need humans to save it. -
Had an electric vehicle when I was four, it was called a Power Wheel. The battery was always dead. Lesson learned.

"It is amusing to listen to the squealing of those politicians who self-righteously claimed to offer open arms to all migrants but then turn on them, as though they were a vast migration of Republicans. Some of these politicians have quoted the Emma Lazarus poem engraved on the Statue of Liberty about sending us 'your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.' They now have flipped, preferring a version of the Little Richard song 'Keep A-knockin', but you can't come in.'" —Cal Thomas

"Let this sink in: $1.00 at the start of the Biden administration is now worth $0.88. This is the Democrats' tax on the middle class, and it's crushing all Americans." —Senator Ron Johnson "If you're a senior lucky enough to hold $100,000 in a retirement account at the start of the Biden administration, it's now worth only $88,300. It's like the federal government stole $12,000 out of your savings account, and that's exactly what they did because of their exorbitant and out-of-control deficit spending, and they have no intention of stopping." —Ron Johnson "The last time the United States had to deal with inflation, the federal government's debt was equivalent to 30 percent of GDP. Today, that number is 130 percent. Maybe we should have thought about this earlier?" —Charles C.W. Cooke

Eerily prophetic. Sept 17, 1787 - the first speech of the last day of the Philadelphia Convention: "This is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic government, being incapable of any other." -Benjamin Franklin -
