  1. 100% Agree. Govt waste is disgusting, you have illegals getting welfare and millions and millions in medicare fraud. Solve these problems first, cut foreign aid, cut the bs spending, reduce the debt and then maybe just maybe you can think about solving healthcare. Business and common sense 101 , don't throw good money at bad.
  2. Hey Joe, can you post pics of those pavers? Trying to push the wife that way. From what I read though, the best way to do that is to pour a concrete slab, then essentially thinset them down. Then you would never have issues with lifting from freezing and other weather factors. Plus I already have a 12x18 slab there, I would just have to extend it to 14x32. Seems the pricing on the pavers vary so much is crazy.
  3. Yeah that always worried me about pavers... But those grey ones look like they might be less prone to that?
  4. Wow thats really nice too... Did they put that on a concrete slab?
  5. Cool, its that time of year! That trail looks awesome... ATV trail or something?
  6. Nice work... So how do you like pavers? Considering them, but the wife wants a deck.
  7. Thats correct, its not attached to the house so it wont be considered a permanent structure by their definitions. However, everything requires a permit unfortunately so they can screw you with fee's and fines and more taxes.
  8. Don't text and walk... http://www.buzzfeed.com/daves4/this-is-why-you-should-never-text-and-walk-at-the?s=mobile
  9. Well what do you think anyways, some pics below? I like showing off my work, because I don't get to often and it takes me forever to get stuff done but I do it right.. These are Oak stairs I put in (Long story, I got them used heh), I had a pro do the spindles, did all the sanding, painting and finish work: Before: After: ] These are some older pics but... you get the idea. Fire place was ugly painted brick... high hats, etc etc..... Before: I had someone come to measure the countertop, but I did everything else. Wife even helped with the backsplash! Before (I know, crazy right?) After: I am most proud of is this bathroom out of anything in the house... We had to wait about a year after we did the main reno to do the upstairs bathroom to save up some extra cash. Then it took me about 2 months of weekends to do this, and I made my share of mistakes along the way with stupid measuring, thank god I had that 10% overage. Its not perfect, however the guy that came to put the glass door in said it was better then a lot of the tile "pro's" he has seen. I was pretty happy when he told me that true or not I did pay a pro do the the mud shower floor so it was the right pitch when I put the tile on (that was not going to mess with).
  10. That would be cool, thanks Joe. I'm a bit anal with house work, ill have to post some pics later.
  11. Sounds like a great deal to me
