  1. You can go in and out of a stand any time. But your gun can only be loaded during legal hours. You can sit in your stand until pitch black, but again you better be unloaded after legal ime, or your bow disabled. Otherwise, you risk a ticket for hunting before or after hours.
  2. actually if the time stamp uis right it was after legal light in the second set of pics. I just had to point that out.
  3. by flew off the shelves, I meant it took a week and it was gone. My daughter works there. I asked her about it she said it is legal to sell not legal to use. They were supposed to inform every purchaser of that. So they put up a sign
  4. no it doesnt. Walmart here before season had "nutrition blocks" and deer cain liquid and concentrate. It went off the shelves very quickly.
  5. As usual it turns to a bash food plots. I love the generic stuff that hunters who plant food plots trespass and all that. I have turned down 4 deer this week, because they were close to the neighbors line, and did not want to risk them crossing over. You might want to get some facts before you spew the crap. And I find in my area that if I plant food plots, I have more people trespassing on me to try to shoot a deer in one.
  6. they have to start somewhere. I listened to him in the debate the other night. He wants to ban many types of guns.
  7. I am sure his stance right now is he is against it. He is trying to keep his job, which he would not do if he came out for a treaty to increase gun control. After November IF he is elected again, his whole attitude and demeanor will change. He has nothing to lose then.
  8. It is all a waste of time anyway. In about three weeks his number will be up anyway
  9. oh doe which to me means female, please stop beating me up.
  10. So, I guess you are saying he wants to, but congress would stop him? That is what I am reading. That does not make him any less of a threat if it is in his heart to do so.
  11. I am going to think car deer thumping. He looks healthy enough to me. In a couple years he will be dinner.
  12. well now that everyone has played the mine is bigger than yours game, for three pages, back to the OP question. IMHO, no matter what rifle you buy, if it does not fit you and feel comfortable. it will not be a tack driver. Handle some check them out and see what feels right. Base your decision on that. As far as caliber, based on your expectations, I have to say the 7-08. Do not believe the crap it is a small animal gun. The moose and elk that have been taken with that caliber are numerous. I would look real close at the savages. I am not a bolt fan, so I can not comment on that part. My tack driver is an encore. Both calibers I have the 25-06 and 7-08 are just that tack drivers. With a good single shot, it doesn't matter if you are left or right handed. You just have to be a good shot, and not rely on a magazine full of bullets to back you up. If neither of those calibers suit your fancy, I would look at the 308. A very good round also.
  13. through congress that is a good one. He has side stepped and byassed congress so many times it is really worth mentioning hence the UN.

now why did you have to go and show this to me. I will have to get one now lol.
  15. I have to agree. Any deer I have shot that took off, went to water. it is simple. They are trying to replace fluid volume they are losing. it is called hypovolemic shock. Look it up.
  16. if nothing else they can detain you until the guy with the answers shows up
  17. the thing of it id, you can experience these simpler archery times. No one forces you to use a compound with let off and sights. Buy a recurve, throw away all the fancy toys and go hunt. You will love it.
  18. Randy wakeman is a joke. He only runs down a gun when the company will not pay him to endorse it. It the past there were some concerns with CVA muzzleloaders years ago. There was two years that were bad. They were all recalled and destroyed. Randy Wakeman used to praise savage smokeless and T/C until the stopped paying him to do so. Then he dissed their products too. You have nothing to worry about buying a cva today.
  19. just a sign of things to come I am afraid. I am very afraid.
  20. I totally agree biz. 10 pages later, we are still sure that food plots are legal.
