the only b/p meds which should effect fluid volume are called diuretcs. The work in the kidneys and make you pee more. When you pee more it lowers the blood volume hence lowers b/p. Like a hose with less water going through it, the pressure on the hose diminishes. Not all b/p meds do this.

I bet if I invited the criers over to hunt MY land, they would accept food plots yes plural plots or not. -
dehydration reduces blood volume hence lower blood pressure through a process called osmosis. The same way that a diuretic does. True dehydration usually causes you to pass out ans require hospitalization to monitor electrolytes and iv fluid replacement as you can die.

and how do real men hunt may I ask? I doubt you know but I thought I would ask anyway -
I hunt some with my encore pistol in 7-08. I also carry my 45 lc ruger black hawk when I am out with a rifle or ml during regular season.
-
Early Ml season starts here the 13th. I am starting to gt things ready like loading speed loaders etc. I am torn what to do. I have my new grey hawk ready as well as a 54 renegade I got from my father in laws estate. I hunt the special season with a sidelock weather permitting. I want to try the grey hawk, but my gut tells me to take the renegade as it was my father in laws. I usually trust my gut. I am off the week, so I may pack both and take them to camp and maybe use both.

two words SPELL CHECK. As the thread is about the legality of food plots, and that has been determined often, you are not debating the legality now, you are trying to debate the morality. That is entirely another topic. Suppose the farm where you hunt over the pseudo plots suddenly stopped farming today. What do you think would happen to the deer population there? I am guessing it would not get stronger or healthier. I again feel bad that you have to hunt on some one else's property and have to follow their rules. But I again do not see how you can have an informed OPINION on how something works, if you have never done it or seen it. You have taken a high moral road, and then admit you hunt over a field of food. I on the other hand hunt way away from the plots and they are in more of a sanctuary where the deer can eat without being shot at. To me it seems less ethical to sit on the edge of the field and shoot a deer while it is eating. Get on the woods do some scouting. Pattern the deer and get one that way. That is hunting. What you do is sitting and waiting. Now since again this thread was about the legality of plots, and that has been determined, I am done posting. Oh and your sentences are a little run on and hard to follow. I might suggest putting some thought into a response and not just typing out the blurbs that enter your mind. Oh and By the way welcome to the site. -

Oh I love being challenged. Look back at my posts. But I prefer being challenged by someone who has something intelligent to say. You frankly are boring. But I must ask if you have never had any experience with food plots, what do you base your opinions on? -

Well now it seems that you are only trying to pick apart every sentence. When someone says I am not trying to start an argument, it usually means they are trying to start an argument. You do not answer any of my questions and want to as I said pick apart what I say. Your points are reaching at best. I am seriously wondering if you are actually a hunter, or one of the new trolls popping up. On that note, I am done with this thread. If you hunt good luck hunting over your not a food plot food field. -

have you ever hunted where there are food plots? I mean food plots not pretending an agricultural field is not a food plot? I doubt half of what I plant gets eaten. Have you ever hunted in the northern zone in particular the adirondacks? When I was younger, I did and still do. If you saw two deer a season that was good. I do not travel to where the deer are plentiful. I make my own plentiful deer. If the local herd of deer eat 5 or 6 acres of food upsets the natural balance, it was pretty fragile to start with. I mean it is not even feasible when next to me there is well over 700 acres of corn and alfalfa they feed on all summer and early fall. The small part my plots add to it is minute at best. I get three tagsa year my buck tag a bow muzzle either sex and a bow muzzle antlerless. No dmp's no nuisance permits. So when regular season opens, I have one tag for one buck. How dare I try to get a nice one. -

I am guessing they would still eat the corn from the farm next door as well as the natural foods that eat all summer. My plots are for winter food. If I stopped them, I am sure the deer would starve the same as they did before I planted plots. So I am a bad guy for wanting to not find dead deer carcasses all over my property in the spring? -

I actually plant both. One field is for hay for cattle for the winter. I also plant about 12 acres of sugar bets for winter food for deer, turkeys and other critters. That does not mean I hunt over them. In fact two of my three plots are in an area no one is allowed to hunt. I just like healthy well fed wildlife. To me it beats them starving all winter. You can put any twist on it you want but that is the way it is. So since the field you plan to hunt over is not a plot in your mind that makes it ok? Talk about a weird justification for doing exactly what everyone else does on a smaller scale. -

I never said they could not get along. I said it makes for a bigger in numbers and healthier herd. I remember over 20 years ago hunting in the dacks and maybe seeing one or two deer a season. I guess seeing more deer and healthier deer and by healthier I mean bigger deer not bigger racks, is no biggie to you, so be it. Like I sai da few posts ago, those who generally oppose it cant do it. I also have an over abundance of turkeys and bear on my land. The bear do grow a lot bigger racks with due to the food plots. So I guess that I have to admit to. -

neither. It was to feed the wildlife on my property and assist them through the tough winters we have here in the north. It produces a healthy herd not a place to shoot deer. There are no stands within 500 yards of any of my plots. One field is used to feed my beef cattle so I can eat them. But, the deer eat it too, so I better stop planting alfalfa for the cows then. But I have now explained that 4 times and you still do not get it, so I doubt I can say anything different to get you to understand. So go sit on the state land you hunt and enjoy. There is no reason to be upset you can not have a place to hunt otherwise. -

Why do I get the impression those who speak out against food plots have either no place to hunt where they are used, or the resources to plant them. If you think you plant it and just sit there and wait for the boone and Crocketts to show up, stop watching silly fake tv shows. If you hunt over a food plot, you are pretty much wasting your time if you want a big buck. I have some pics of very nice bucks in my different plots.(12 acres in all on a 450 acre plot of land) All in the middle of the night. It does not make deer stupid and have them walk into an open plot in mid day just to eat. Shoot one deer near a plot and see how fast the deer stop going there in day light. Hunting near a food source is pretty common and a great strategy. Just because you supply the source, does not give you any advantage except well fed deer and good healthy numbers of deer. -

FINAL UPDATE It was just on the news this guy plead to criminally negligent homicide. Sentenced to 6 months in county jail 10,000 in restitution and 5 years probation. Seems kind of slight to me. Just wanted to close it out.

here they released them last wednesday. I have found if you do not have a dog good luck.

We had a guy hunt with us a few years ago. It was early ml season in the north. He shot a small doe with a fawn. The fawn would not leave, so he reloaded and shot it too. Not so much of a bad thing I guess, but having to listen to him brag about a double kill like it was a trophy was enough to not invite him back to camp. I personally let them walk, but that is just a choice. Nothing against anyone who does.

I thought it would be in the 70s and too warm to hunt this early. On the bright side, it may be too chilly for all the pesky kids. Sorry had to say it
