  1. just taking looking at the list as posted, there may be a couple very nice guns in that collection, but far from what I would call an amazing collection.........there's a lot of guns on that list that are pretty common and probably wouldn't get the price he thought they would, guess we'll never know if he never gives us an update.

  2. Just to let you guys know Maine has recently changed their system for the Mose lottery to make it easier for those in the long run. You can buy points for years you can't go and the points increase after five and ten years. They also guarantee if you have ten points after 70

Years old I think. My trip cost less than two thousand including house rental and meat cutting. Travel was extra. Just be careful some zones do not have public land and some don't have motels or house rentals like zone 1. It was the best hunting trip of my life.

guaranteed after I'm 70? don't have time for that.

  3. What does "knuckled" mean?? I know nothing about trimming apple trees. I usually trim off the smaller lower and or dying limbs.

I'm far from an expert (not even close), but I think its when you trim back the smaller branches to within a few inches of where they branch off from the main limbs....kinda looks like "knuckles when you're done.

  4. Any one using these broad heads? I was looking at them at a local archery shop, the owner says they work great, but he is a salesman! They are mechanical but will cut 1" even if they fail to open. Supposedly fly like field points. Of course they all say that.LOL

are those the ones that when they impact the tip pushes back and the blades open up to a wider diameter? if so, I was told they are illegal in NY due to the fact that when you go to pull them out they do the same in reverse creating a "barb", most mechanicals allow the blades to fold over fully when you go to pull them out, these do not..........I bought some and this appears to be true, so I never used them.

  5. Is anyone aware of the online course we need to take (I took the gun hunters ed prior to 2014) to be able to hunt with crossbows? I've looked on the DEC website and couldn't find anything. Thanks.

I believe that no longer exists, it was discontinued when crossbows were no longer considered legal implements..........I'm pretty sure there will be a new requirements.
