URGENT!!!!!! I NEED HELP ASAP PLEASE. BUCK Stuck with ARROW!
jjb4900 replied to cd32505n's topic in General Chit Chat
Question: How far from a building do I have to be to discharge my firearm? Answer: You cannot discharge a firearm or bow within 500 feet of any school, playground, occupied factory or church. You cannot discharge a firearm or bow within 500 feet of a dwelling, farm building, or structure unless you own it, lease it, are an immediate member of the family, an employee, or have the owner's consent. This does not apply to the discharge of a shotgun over water when hunting migratory game birds and no dwelling, public structure, livestock, or person is in the line of fire. -
or skeletons.........
-
yeah, I still don't understand why we can't pet those dogs either............

I've always heard there is a direct connection between tick population and rodent population, I did a quick search and found this, has anyone else heard of this, and does it seem to hold any truth?................................................. "The probability of more people and their ‘litmus’ dogs becoming infected increases with the more there are of tick infested rodent species that harbor this, and other diseases in the environment that these people inhabit or visit. In one field study it was reported that “the strongest predictors of a current year's risk of Lyme disease were the prior year's abundance of mice and chipmunks and abundance of acorns 2 y previously. In no case did inclusion of deer or climate variables improve the predictive power of models based on rodents, acorns, or both”

it needs to be filled out immediately upon taking the deer..........
-
like I said, this was photo was posted by someone other than the shooter, if in fact it was shot.........I haven't seen any other publicity about it where someone is claiming it is a legit wild deer kill....who knows, maybe it will never be scored and we'll never hear another thing about it.
-
in defense of the guy who shot it, it doesn't seem as if he is the one who posted it anywhere other than his facebook page..........and I haven't seen it posted anywhere else as a wild deer kill,as of now it is just a picture that someone else decided to post.
-
it does look like a tag attached to the side of the rack that's lying on the tailgate........right against the deer's head, and it appears to be a NY tag.
-
depends on where you're hunting...............my zone shuts the day before regular deer season, Nov. 15th this year
-
so, the key to getting bigger bucks, is to get a decent camera and learn how to take good pictures?
-
yes & yes, provided I know where my arrow is headed if I should miss...........

That's not a spike.... this is a spike!

any guess on his age? -
The fact that people were trespassing and hunting on my land during my absence, would piss me off more than the stolen camera........
-
The only thing worse than having an unhappy client badmouthing your business, is for you, as a "business man", to respond with a poorly written, childish response like the one above.....makes you look foolish, good job.
-
I don't see the point in giving extra money to a booking agent / consultant, to find and book a hunt for you............all the info you need is readily available on the internet and you can have a look at and speak to the Outfitter's directly.
-
that's amazing....think how much of this crap must go on..........just look at the small amount of people who frequent this site, and how many have been ripped off.......unreal.
-
did you use any scents or calls along with it, or just the decoy?
-
I would think that just refunding the money would be a better idea than having any type of bad publicity spread about your business, whether or not it's true...........if just 5 people a year decide not to use you because of the negative reports, you're gonna be out a little more than the 2g's.
-
I'm guessing this guy is a booking agent and not an outfitter?
-
I bought a Venture last year, very accurate and I like the detachable magazine.
-
you used a guy from New York to book a hunt in Colorado?
-
since you're leaving, it's only right that you pass on your best spots to a deserving member of this site...............
-
you're 100% correct.
