  1. sorry you found it to be a foolish question....just figured those who argue crossbows offer no advantage over long bows in a hunting situation would feel the same about them in a competition setting.
  2. is shooting a crossbow considered archery?
  3. if you shoot a crossbow are you considered an Archer?
  4. I think the only enforcement you'll see is the random arrests of people who are found in possession of the restricted firearms and or magazines, or the ones arrested during any type of sting operation.........most towns, counties, villages, don't even have the means or funds to set up any type of registry for the assault rifles and I don't believe the State is planning on setting them up to do so.
  5. I think making sure the barrel is totally clean and 100% dry before you apply a rust inhibitor / preventative is key.....I've always used bore butter and never had a problem......I always use boiling water and the left over heat helps dry the barrel, and have even heated it with a blow dryer to be extra sure it's dry before using any type of rust inhibitor / preventative.
  6. Shawncun* is in a class of his own...not much more can be said.
  7. maybe some of these guys were raised by "sloots" and that's all they have to base their opinions of women on, who knows...can't fault them for that.
  8. we all know it takes two to tango, and I don't think anyone is clueless as to what goes on.....just don't think the comments were appropriate for what the the original poster started this topic for.
  9. didn't say choke the kid, said choke the dope with the comments.
  10. and I bet if someone made the same comments to him about you that were made on here, he would have choked the sh*t out of them.
  11. I'll admit I use them on public land, been lucky so far...........nothing like getting to your stand and being able to climb up quickly and quietly and without sweating your a*s off in the warmer temps.
  12. and that pretty much sums up what caused this topic to take the turn it did.
  13. that's a little out of line, how would a guy who claims his shoulder injuries keep him from shooting a bow, have the strength to choke his chicken?
  14. I bought rapid rails at Dick's for a decent price, a bit cumbersome, but once set up they're very stable..............good for a stand you put up and leave for awhile, but not to take up and down on a regular basis.
  15. let us know when you're done going through your retarded stage........oh, and some stay in that phase longer than others, you sound like you may be one.
  16. sound's like he expects it, so it won't come as a shock when she is.
  17. seriously? got guys with daughters making a joke and that's your response?
  18. guess I overlooked that post...........either way, it's a good site.
  19. found a website that gives updated info on ammunition availability from numerous dealers.....GunBot.com, was able to get ammo I needed from Cabela's within 2 days of watching the site.........it goes fast, so you need to keep checking, but beats driving to the local gunshop hoping they just got a delivery.
  20. he's wrong.....how could you trust a man with nipples?
  21. do you have a release and do you know what length arrows you shoot?.........have some stuff cluttering my basement I need to get rid of...........
  22. should be an interesting discussion..........
  23. this really isn't a hunting topic, so I chose not to put it in the bowhunting or crossbow hunting section..........is it acceptable to show up at an archery competition event with a crossbow to compete against Archer's shooting either traditional bows or compound bows?...........many say they're all equal, so looking for feedback.
